Story

Your friend has fallen ill, collect food while fighting off zombies. But you need to be quick your friend won't last long. Return with enough food (and often) to save your friend.

Controls

A and D to move left and right
Space to jump
Left Click/Left Control to shoot
F to melee
E to interact
C to eat to recover health

I liked this concept of having to take care of someone and not really have an idea of how well they are doing when you are out. I felt like while playing it gave a sense of urgency and fear that you could come home and find your friend dead. If I had more time I would like to have put in some more metroidvania aspects, like puzzles and power ups that would unlock new areas. I think it could work well as a full game (with much better balancing).

Thank you for playing!

This game has a lot of potential. I really liked the exploration + gathering supplies aspect of it. Could use a graphics overhaul but your art is clear and conveys all the necessary information to the player, so props for that :)

Lots of potential here! I like the really large map and that you can easily get lost in the caves.

Lost in catacombs. I agree with previous guys - this game has potential!

I think the ammo was a bit scarce and the gun didn't feel very powerful. Other than that, a decent game :)

nice, had some fun, but never could save them in time, got lost in the caves often! liked that you could push the zombies around.

The concept is good but it's difficult not to get lost in the caves.

Pretty fun, I agree with your need for better balancing. At one point I was pined down by a zombie horde but damage is so slow that I had time to push them back (I forgot about F for close combat) even though it took me a long time.

I understand wanting to make us uncertain about our friend but at the same time it's missing some kind of feedback : a score for example ? I fed my friend three times before stopping on my own, not sure if I saw the whole game.

There's a lot of content here for a compo entry, well done! I got Last-of-Us vibes with the scarce ammo.
