Ha ha! This is a great adaptation of the Game Of Life! the 'multiplayer' feature is very cool. There is no music / sound effects, wich if included could make things a bit more interesting, but overall it's great fun!

Very good looking user interface, also props for the leaderboard, it's a really nice touch. I think that a right choice of sounds could make it pop even more. Good job!

RIP John Conway. Cool tribute! At one point, it really looked like the flowers were expanding in a naturally realistic way. I had more fun randomly spreading the seeds than I expected. Sure, there's some strategy in carefully picking the starting points, but it was way more life-like to spray and hope it all works out, haha.

Nice little game, had me playing around with what works and what doesn't. I wasn't too familiar with the rules for this or the right strategy so it was fun to experiment.

Thanks! I totally forgot what how the game of life worked, and i kept scattering my flowers and they were dying. Right before I rage quit, I realized I had to clump them together. Much more fun that way! :)

Clever. I really like the idea of making GoL into a real game. The fact that this has a score board aswell is also impressive. Solid work!

Very nice idea, taking a classic concept and expanding on it with 3 different types of flowers, takes it beyond the original "game". Visuals are great and the whole aesthetic is very pleasant. Love being able to see the layouts others used for their high-scores. Nice job!

Smart concept, well executed, polished. Good job! A short popup that explains the Game of Life rules would add a bit of user friendliness.

@hanamigi Thanks! I was thinking about typing out the rules, but couldn't figure out how do it elegantly while also explaining the rules of _my_ game

@jupiter-hadley This might be a first time any of my games has appeared in a video, thanks for playing! You didn't break the game, the rules are just quite harsh and I should have given better tips how to make your garden prosper. The flowers like to stay close to other flowers, but not too close :cherry_blossom:

A timely homage to Conway! Sad to hear about his recent passing.

It's certainly an intriguing idea, but patterns in the game of life are hard to predict (for us humans anyway), meaning you either have to look up some generators or just hope for the best. There isn't a lot you can do, especially if you're in a losing pattern, leading to a lot of restarts. I'm not sure if that's what you where going for?

Props for actually gamifying 'The Game Of Life' though  and the scoreboard certainly does it's job when it comes to 'I wonder how that high-score got started', especially since you can view their solution! That last bit is a really nice addition that's easily overlooked.

I loved the game so much, got 7th on the highscore list. The game looks very much polished and features packed. You added multiplayer also you could see how other players got their scores. But that also tempted me to checkout the top scorer's placements. Overall a solid entry and a really fun game.
