Part Wars by mCohen

Part wars!

a small game about fighting robots, stealing their parts and upgrading your bot!

Saddly i didn`t have enough time to do everything that i wanted(only had 12h), and balancing and bugs are still off.

No sound/cool effects, but i think i nailed it concept-wise

Its a great framework for a more fleshed out title. I enjoyed it while I played. It's got potential.

I agree with @tom-adams this can definitely be something sweet in the future

Really cool. It makes me think of a flash game, that I played when I was really really young. Love how it fits the theme as well. That one has a lot of potential!

@mcohen but it's seriously really good. Like how smooth everything is. Would love to see some sparks coming out of the robots after taking damage

@kenarf thank you! had i had more time, i wish i either had time or any visual skills, but my artist had to give up at the very start(thus the programmer art all around)

Fun but I wish it highlight the card you selected and that there were more enemy sprites

I can not drag upgrades to inventory, but the game is still good. I liked the attack animation.

Interesting powerup interactions. I like how some of the items have effects built off of "unused" items in your inventory. It would be cool to see this built out with more classes and items.
Technical note: It might be better to fully recalculate the player stats whenever the inventory changes. I think a couple bugs I saw (negative defense, infinite attack) were caused by errors in modifying the values over time.

@ekaterina i didn't have time to do that :( only touch-go even though is just a simple thing to do.

@skreeb thank you! yeah i know of this bug, but the tech used to make the game doesnt really allow me to do that and i only realized 1hour before publish. even enemy effects were implemented but specific effects couldn't be made on time

Neat little project! Could definitely see this be easily expanded with a little more time. I did encounter a bug where a card was supposed to give me +3 defense on the first hit of each battle but instead it took away defense? Anyway good concept, good job.

I enjoyed this entry a lot! It is a pretty engaging system already, I think it has a lot of potential and I appreciate how you were able to get some nice synergistic builds going! The art style was nice and clean, I think it has a good presentation! Overall I think this was a really nice entry!

I really liked this entry. I got hooked from the start and spent a good amount of time playing it. Good concept that I definitely think would work as a little fun game to play any time. Good job, and I hope you get enough ratings!

It's basically a rogue-like card game. I really like this concept.
