PWR SRG! by J-Dubs
This is the first game i have ever made in full. I hope it's kinda fun. I would love to add more to it (and plan to), but this is about as far as I could get. Did all the art, music and sound myself (sound effects are my mouth).
Cheers and can't wait to play all the other games.
CONTROLS -> arrow keys move the helicopter, space bar launches your missles.
DESTROY ALL THE ROBOTS BEFORE THEY DESTROY THE POWER STATION... OR YOU!

That you didn't even consider the theme doesn't matter, just keep making games and publishing them no matter how small or simple they are and you'll only get better and better. If you get tired of a project it is better to cut out all of the pending features, add a menu with a "Play" buton and publish it in its current state than to leave it in your hard drive to die. You'll be thanking yourself some years from now if you take that approach.
3kliksphilip here made a very short and fascinating series on the topic: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLRDhcp_8c7uAPQfE6WMBo7PCNlkQIOLdO.
Some notes:
- Is it better to build and upload your game to itch.io as a zip or even as a single executable instead of an installer. That way the itch app takes care of everything automatically, and it doesn't scare those downloading it directly.
- You should really rate some 20 or so games and leave feedback to them before the time runs out, or your game will be buried in the discovery list. You can start with mine ;)
- Keep making games, even short and simple ones, and publish them all on itch.io. I'll follow you and play your games if you don't mind.
- Never get discouraged by feedback or your Ludum Dare rating. Just keep making games no matter what.
