"Because he's the hero this company doesn't deserve, but the one it needs right now. So we have him fix our computers, take care of servers and stop hackers. Because he can do it. Because he is not our hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector."

This is a little bit to close to reality haha. Very nice concept and not too repetitive because of the constant switching of the task. Also a thanks to the person who mad the itch.io page design. That looked really well.

Polished entry all around - as a tech employee, I had to laugh at a lot of things in this game.
The loading / tutorial screen is a really good touch, and the music was very solid.
I found the gameplay to take me just a second (I didn't realize fire extinguishers went in my inventory) but once I got it I found it intuitive.
Nice work!

This is very good! I think it's a little bit too easy, maybe force the IT guy to drink more often. :)

Amazing game! I love the sounds and the graphics!
I do feel like the game is maybe a little too hard and the gameplay is pretty repetitive, as far as I can tell.

Still, amaing job!

Lots of fun, great job. The music is fun to listen to, I'm pulling my hair out fixing burning servers, I'm dishing out classic advice to coworkers, and I'm fired with a hilarious animation. Fantastic job!

Overall great game! The art and music are fantastic. The itch page looks great as well. The controls can be a bit touchy. It would have been nice to have some kind of feedback for when you were standing in the appropriate place to interact with items. Figuring out what can be interacted with and where exactly i need to stand to interact with things was one of the only issues I had. Similarly, it would be nice to have some kind of indication that you are out of energy or fire extinguisher. Maybe if you try to run or use the fire extinguisher when you can't, the energy/fire extinguisher ammo UI could flash or do something to grab the player's attention. Those are the only tiny improvements I can think of. Great job!

accurately represents the life of an IT employee  , VERY nice graphics and addictive gameplay, would make for a great simple android game

Awesome game! Good idea, but a bit hard to play. Coding would be better, while you are able to 'stand on the walls'. On the other hand, the energy drinks looks like a small batteries. Also jokes related to employees working should be visible for longer time. Anyway, this looks really fun and the main feel is there's much fun things to do and explore while the office having a big chaos.

I prefer the new name to the game: "A hour before you get fired"

Overall really good. It was really hard to find the batteries. Love the dialogs

I feel just like IT man. I found it a little tricky to trigger the fire extinguisher and the intro was probably a few too many screens to page through. Loved the art, he even looks like me! I got fired as I couldn't keep the servers online :( leaderboard was a master stroke except it would load for me. Very impressive!

I felt like I was part of the IT crowd's playing this game. The art, animation, everything is really well done! Well played!

@hamzeh Thank you, our artist is very happy to hear all these nice comments! We are actually planing on making an android version post jam

Simple concept, yet very fun. Only nitpick I have is that it's a bit hard to notice if you have picked something up or not (apart from the sound effect). An animation would be helpful.

@nitero Thank you for playing, and for the feedback! I agree with you from play testing, we do plan on doing a post jam version, where we will hopefully add more animations.

Hi! Nice work! I want to make a video with the best games of LDJam46. Something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aOdTsWE7iIk .
Can I find your game also on indiexpo website? The channel is linked with them.

@torh Hi! Thanks for the kind words. We have added an indiexpo page, you can find it in the Downloads and Links section on this page. We recommend you download the desktop version.

Having worked in IT and on a help desk I can verify this is exactly what working in IT is like. The only thing you forgot was helping people move their desk around.

Haha. This game is really funny and has a lot of humor. I reall laughed a lot from all these phrases: "Not a real Nigerian prince", "You canno use password 123", "Just run ccleaner"  That is awesome idea! Game looks very complete and has all basic features nedeed: intro, help, balanced gameplay, humor. I also liked pixel art isometric projection, rare stuff currently.

I've git 240K points till was fired finally :sunglasses:

Btw, does LeaderBoards feature work? Did not wait for my position in global rating and just closed browser page.

@room606 Sadly, the leaderboards feature doesn't work from the browser, as of now.

Thank you for your kind words, the isometric view was often a pain to work with, but I think it was worth it.

Pretty funny little challenge, I only wish there was a bigger variety to the "advices"

It was worthy trying it, cute little jump back in my early days of working

It's a bit messy (most jam games are), I'll give you that, but it is pretty damn addicting! Some visual feedback for when you pick up a fire extinguisher or an energy thingy would be great, I played it on mute and had no idea I picked it up. Otherwise, great little arcade game!

This was awesome! Nice job. It had a really good difficulty ramp. At first everything was fine, but soon ... everything was on FIRE! It felt very tactical the way I had to wait for the few seconds of downtime in order to drink an energy drink, or refill my fire extinguisher. Well done!

Got 600809. :sunglasses:

Very stressful, which I would call a success. Plays well and I quickly learned to grab fire extinguishers without stopping. Nice art and fitting soundeffects, though the music got annoying after a while. Especially since I was able to keep going for quite a while.

Fun, but I wouldn't want that job IRL. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

That was epic from start to finish. Love the chiptune beegees. Max points for theme haha.

I struggled a bit with keeping caffeinated enough to move around with sufficient speed.

This'd be a cool game to develop more with bigger levels, and maybe some additonal IT people to send off to various tasks, like command and conquer style. :coffee: :coffee: :coffee:

Woohoo!

![dfwe.png](///raw/906/d2/z/33867.png)

The couple IT advices were quite fun. Nice sprites and animations. Pleasant music that fit well. It got a bit too repetitive and exhausting to keep up at one point, so I may have let go in order to go to bed :p

Great work there!

OMG! You get +1 points for being able to turn the sound down!

This was pretty good, though as your movement speed slows down it becomes a death spiral. Also, there is no indication of anything happening when you take a fire extinguisher which is a little off-putting. Like it took me a while to realize that my fire extinguisher count had gone up and I don't think I ever got over it. Even when I realized there was no feedback I would still find myself standing there hitting the key waiting for the guy to grab the extinguisher before remembering that it doesn't do that.

@disthron Thank you for the feedback! I agree, better visual feedback upon picking up items would have been better, if we get to building a post jam version, that will be the first improvement we add.
