Very cute game! But it is quite hard, one caterpillar and I can't manage it, all my roots and leaves get eaten.

Great entry, well done!

The grapichs is cute, and the tutorial design is really awesome! For me it was very hard to understand what I have to do with the worms. Maybe it was mention in the tutorial, but it was a lot of text there so maybe I didn't catch it.

Nooo, why only the windows build? Not even the web version? How do I play this game?

Maybe a video gameplay?

@notapixelstudio We had a problem with shaders on the web build, but we're fixing it! Soon you'll be able to play =)

@naughtybird Thanks! Yeah, we kinda left the worms out of the tutorial for a little "twist" as the little cell says "heal from what?" there. Maybe we should mention it somewhere, but the ideia is that it goes back and forth randomly eating up chunks of your plant and you have to manage it by healing chomped pieces.

@solah Thanks, glad you liked it!
We're thinking ways to tweak the difficult of the game, just didn't had time on the jam

Wow what a cool unique game. I really enjoyed playing and thought the game would be awesome on mobile!!! You should be proud of this one. It is very complete easy to play and hard to master.

So far this is the best I played with! Full experience with the music, the atrstyle. I like how the music is repeating, but not get on my nerves. Amusing work, delightful gameplay.

Nice game, nice innovation and fits the theme nice! The controls are quite difficult, i don't think the spinning mechanic works with a mouse. But i guess it is ment for mobile where i think it will work great. It is a bit weird that sometimes there is nothing one can do to proceed, no resources that can be collected. If an in game explenation of the controls is build go straigt to appstore :)

I really liked the graphics of the game! The audio was also really well made. The only problem i had was not knowing what to do with the larva. Still a really fun game!

Hey! Nice idea! Pretty original, but too difficult to be honest, caterpillars and worms are just brutal or probably, If you have bad luck you can lose immediatly, I think there should be a way to defend yourself (some ideas: I way to defend yourself, a circle when a cell is in a catterpillar spot to stun the catterpillar for a bit, healing broken leafs or roots being cheaper, whenever your plant grows, it grows from above and below, the roots are specially a weak spot in this version). I actually managed to win after a couple of tries, and my plant didn't grow any other leaf, I guess I was lucky? There is definitely potential here to do a great game, the concept is awesome, the graphics very cute and the music fitting and manages to don't be repetitive. Keep the good work!

Beautiful game and the audio fit really well. I was able to beat it after a few tries but it felt like it was mostly up to luck with the caterpillars. Sometimes they would eat way faster than I was able to keep up with but the time I won I barely had any damage to deal with on the final stage. I'd love to play a longer version with some balance tweaks. Nice Job!

I really like the style of the game, the graphics, sound, and animations are all good and work well together and the tutorial is cute! The hitboxes were a bit small for my liking and I often missed the little blobs by a few pixels when trying to move them. Overall I think it's a good, well polished game. (Though I do have one _bug_ report, you can both lose and win at the same time if you win during the losing animation)

This game is so cute!! I find larvas a little unfair, as there is no way to control them, or at least none that I found... but I really enjoyed playing

That's a cute game you have there, the... everything is lovely. The larva guys eating the plant were a little too harsh, they made the game get way more challenging than i tought it would be. Nice work from all you guys!

Lovely game, I really like the mechanics even though they were a bit confusing at first. I'm glad the difficulty wasn't too hard so I could just have a nice relaxing time enjoying the cute artstyle and music!

Analysis...

1 - Mechanics, Learning and Flow:
The mechanics are simple and intuitive, just the controls that don't work so well on the mouse (sometimes I lose control of the click, maybe it's a matter of adjusting the sensitivity of my mouse in particular). I believe that this mechanics (even more given the verticalized screen in the HTML version) is more interesting for smartphones (so here's the tip, if it's not already the intention).
Learning to play was intuitive (as mentioned), just the part that it would be possible to speed up the extraction that left me unsure before I started; then I started to learn how to cope.
I wish there was some way to eliminate caterpillars (if the game is extended to more flowers, etc.).
The game flow starts smoothly (and favors learning), but in the end it becomes extremely difficult (I played four or five times to be able to complete the internship). Perhaps a way to facilitate (but not too much) would be to make the caterpillar need to bite twice to "break its side of the trunk" (eating the leaf first, then the trunk), or to make a bite time (allowing to intervene against it or leaving a "ball" preventing) ... Something that gives more defensive interactions and such.

2 - Graphics, Audio, Narrative and Polishment:
The drawings were very beautiful, congratulations.
The audio was very comfortable too, congratulations again.
The narrative is simple and straightforward (unless you plan to extend the project, I think it is very good for game jam time).

3 - Culture:
Many people love plants, so that allows you to find people interested in the project.
In the other way, the project can (if extended) teach about plants for players (I think it is interesting).

4 - Monetization:
If the game is for smartphones and has several stages, customization of plants and link with social networks; I believe it can monetize by advertising and selling cosmetics (or gambling attempts).
Maybe several game modes (from the simplest bonsai to the tallest bean feet, hahahahah).

Again, congratulations on the art.
