Prometheus by Shapkofil

[raw]
made by Shapkofil for Ludum Dare 46 (JAM)

prometheus_cover.png The game will take you back to the era of the ancient Greek gods. Where you would embody the mighty titan Prometheus. Your job is to return the fire to humanity, but your way is full of obstacles (ancient creatures loyal to Zeus and spells thrown by the god of thunder himself (not Thor :zap:)). The fire of knowledge will protect you and also can be used to kill enemies but be careful not to exhaust the flames if you do, you fail. Along the way, you will find coins to refuel your torch.

The main villain - Zeus (not existing in the game) x) Not only does Zeus withhold fire from humanity, but "the means of life" as well. Your job - to return the fire to humanity and give them back what is rightfully theirs

Interesting game and enjoyed the fact that it was an endless loop of platforms and enemies, however I was a little lost on the objective. I wasn't too sure how to win or get to the final object and the enemies didn't seem that much of a threat when I could out run them and fall into an endless void, also would be better if the inputs for shooting were next to each other as I found it a little awkward to click q and f. Art and sound effects gave it a funny edge which I enjoyed, would love to have seen a little more consistency with that as well, but other than that great job!

Cool endless runner idea. To explode every enemy on the screen was very pleasurable. That Settings screen was really helpful too :D Nice work!

Sound effects and explosions were the best part of this game! I don't know what the objective was, or even if I could die, but it was fun despite that. The art was also very cool!

The map seemed large and there was a nice variety in enemies! I think you could leave time for polish and sync the sound effects for example. I also had no idea where to go. Other than that good job!
