nice game btw
Overall, the only _real_ complaint I have about the game is that there's no way to speed up or skip the text when it comes up. Although it's funny and adds to the overall game experience, it is a little bit slow. Also, depending on the intent, it might be nice to let the player see the supervisor's vision radius, at least at the beginning. Otherwise, great job!
Nice job bro!
To be honest with you, we worked hard to get as close as possible to the extreme stress that you could feel during an exam.
Moreover, we had a lot of fun making those animations and, rewarding the supervisor, I spent whole sunday coding its behaviour ! A nightmare :D
Finally, about the text, we struggled to find the right balance between high speed / less time to read and slow speed / less time to play. Not being able to pass the dialogues is part of the gameplay, as it is an additional penalty for having been caught cheating :)
Thanks a lot for playing !
That was great! I was legitimately scared by that teacher/death-eater. Wife also busted up laughing at me as I made mistakes ....
My only wish is that there was more. After the first classroom, the second would have more seats, missing chairs, etc.
Great Artstyle! @Sofy35-> :thumbsup: :art:
As for the multiple levels, to be honest it was our initial plan, we also had one more feature that we couldn't add. This is due to the fact that first, it's a jam and there is Always things that weren't planned that Comes up and two, Sofy and I both have a full Time job and so we basically got 8 hours less to work on the game ^^
However, we are really proud of the result and are happy to see that you're enjoying it as much as we enjoyed making it !
I really like the concept of losing a junction to send notes when you screw up. This could definitely be made into a much larger classroom, where eventually you would only have a few routes to send the notes. Great work!
The art is very fitting and I like the immersive audio. The gameplay itself was enjoyable and rather addicting, I never beat the game though because of one issue. The supervisor seemed to know when I was cheating when his back was turned to me and I lost the game every single time right at the end because of it. While I got away with cheating with him a couple rows down and facing towards the classs.
I would say this issue just made it hard to know when I'd be able to cheat which gave it some less consistency. Does this help or hurt the game? I think as a game the random movement is enough and having issues telling when I can consistently cheat makes it feel bad when you lose when you feel you really should've gotten away with it.
Overall it's a really nice entry and I had a lot of fun!
As @kanonix said, we planed to add more content and thought about new levels to add... But... time ! :)
Maybe later !
Am happy that you enjoyed the game, thanks a lot for playing !
@iker-diaz It was the first time I created sounds, and since I also worked on all the code, it was a bit hard and I didn't have time to polish it. Sry if it disturbed you !
@vivek-sharma20 It's more like you need to adapt your choices depending on where is the supervisor, rather than do whatever you like. That's the challenge, yes ! :)
@tomas-selmeci Thank you for your comment ! We're both happy that you enjoyed our game :D
It's very similar to an old flash game, I used to play, but with some story on top, which is awesome.
I really appreciated the cute art and wonderfully homemade sounds. Especially that slap sfx .
Only complaints is the UI was slightly confusing in the beginning and one time the supervisor caught me with his back turned.
After a couple of tries, I finally won, but there were some issues I had with the game. It is very unclear where the supervisor sees, but more importantly, the unskippable text dialogues are extremely long - about 11 seconds each, if I am correct. And since they are always the same, I literally spend about 33 seconds of each attempt just waiting for the dialogues to finish, instead of playing the game.
Okay its not perfect because somehow you could get caught giving the paper even if he don't notice you but i kept trying until the end! and it was really that much fun!
Got the ending though and very well done on your entry! Nice and fun!

Sorry about the pause menu ! But same as before, we ran out of time aha :D
I'm glad you enjoyed the game !
The art was really nice, and all the poses and expressions were very emotive (especially for the identical septuplets). As others have mentioned, it would be nice if the dialogue was skippable, since I was really bad and kept getting caught almost immediately.
I appreciate the sound design just being clock ticking and pencil scratching. Even with just ambient sounds you make a tense atmosphere, and the intimidating look of the supervisor helps as well.
I do wish it was a little more clear how his vision worked; sometimes I got caught with things I didn't think I should have, and other times I got away with things I didn't think I would.
Overall, great work for 72 hours!
@game-coder28 Thanks a lot for your kind comment !
@jeremy-ryan Thank you ! To be honest I have a very few experience with sound, and because we both worked on monday we had a very short time to work on the last day of the jam !
I am aware that the Supervisor needs some tweakings. I took more times working on the AI and it's pathing / catch system rather than its vision system, which was working fine but might be too large. My bad ^^
Glad you all loved the game though, thank you !
You had a really nice and original idea and the game itself feels polished. Really well done!
@nivbeth Yeah ! So do I, drawing the characters ! I'm so happy that you found it funny :D
The graphics worked really well and really added to the humour of the game. I did encounter one bug where the timer ended up going down without the start of game text having been completely removed. This only appeared to happen if I was on another tab at the time waiting for the text to finish displaying.
@injured Thank you to actually point this out aha ! I have very few experience in sound design but it was very clear in my head about how I wanted the player to feel when playing this game, so I did my best to do it !
Regarding the look to the theme, to be honest I got the idea because my gf has exams coming soon and she is very stressed, so it reminded me about the time when I had exams and I was like "That's so me before coming back home !" aha :D But yeah, with a day less to work, we got really tired from this jam even though we will definitely be part of it again :D
@amerigo-gazaway Thank you ! The art is actually inspired by a french series called "Les Kassos" but it's true that the art is quite close to Rick & Morty ! Nice catch !
@injured Thanks a lot to comment about this part of our work. I didn't know Randall from Recess, so it's a coincidence, I will watch that stuff it looks interesting.
@amerigo-gazaway Thank you very much ! Your feedback encourages us
@kjscott Very interesting feedback ! We are thinking about some solutions to make the experience better. You're right, the player's time need to be entertaining ! Thanks a lot
That losing scene is brutal.
@justin-c Thank you ! We'll definitely need to rework the AI but with all these feedbacks, don't worry, we got some ideas ;)
I'm glad you enjoyed the game :D
I gave up in frustration after a while though, as it was not very clear exactly when it was possible to pass the answers around, and sometimes the supervisor turned around just at the last second. I think I successfully passed two answers all the way. Projecting his actions slightly ahead of time would have been great.
I still gave it a fair score though! This would make an excellent minigame within a bigger game about Mathilde.
We're glad you enjoyed the game !
I felt that when the teacher was tying up a student I should be able to swap notes without getting caught, but it seemed like that idea didn't work.
Either way really cute and funny game. I didn't beat it, but losing was fun b/c of the funny story telling.

First of all, you must know that if we asked for your feedbacks it's mainly because we loved making this game and we actually want to finish it ! The gameplay is adapted to mobile so we are planning on releasing on mobiles platform.
Now, in response to all your feedbacks, you must know that we ran out of time and we kind of needed to "skip" balance time because Sofy and I both got full time jobs, so we worked whole monday and lost a LOT of time. However, we planned on reworking the Supervisor AI and got a lot of ideas to actually make it more "fair".
Additionally, I have very few experience with Sound Design so it was really hard for me to actually synchronize everything !
Finally, I actually keep track of every feedback and even if some of yours were already on the tracks, you made some new remarks that we will definitely take into consideration !
Again, thx a lot and we are very happy that you enjoyed our game !!
All the best!
Great entry!
@laura-del-pino Thx a lot for this kind comment ! We worked really hard, especially because we actually had a day less of work because we both have a full time job. But we did our best and are really proud of the result. We are even more happy about the fact that people actually enjoy the game :D
I found it slightly frustrating to play because it was a little bit unintuitive to tell what would be seen by the supervisor. It was mechanically consistent, but the graphics didn't exactly represent when they would catch you (sometimes they could be looking right at you, but you were out of range, sometimes they seemed to be looking away but were close enough to detect you). Telegraphing when the supervisor noticed someone looking around was really good. Making the rest of the graphics really closely match the mechanics would make this a lot more satisfying to play; you could really feel you were getting away with passing notes, rather than second-guessing the game mechanic.
We'll probably publish updates of the game regularly, here or on Itch.io. Feel free to follow us if you're interested ! :D
Such a fun concept that I haven't really seen in LD before and the gameplay is very intuitive and you're constantly on guard! Was slightly tricky to determine whether the teacher would be able to see you sometimes but looking around and perhaps getting an exclamation mark from the teacher before actually trying to pass the note helped a lot.
Loved it!
