Groovy! The different music layers coming in with each block was a nice touch.

The jump was pretty hard to nail. Like I never was able to complete the first level since you had to double-back on yourself, but enjoyed the graphics and sound. Nice work.

I enjoy it! Also, it will be nice to display remaining blocks.

Hi! Cool game, but on my ancient 4:3 screen, not some menus move out. I especially liked the sound design, I was stuck. By the way, you can force the entire level with cubes so that you can not pass it.

I liked both the sound mechanic, and the creating your own platform mechanic. Would have liked to see more tunes, or ways or creating different combinations but its a nice taste of what could be done.

Love the groovy way the music and colors were all put together. I found the second to last level harder than the last. I liked the mechanic of the music getting more layered as you left more cubes behind.

If I could make one suggestion, the collision on the boxes seems to be larger than the boxes themselves, so you sometimes can't place when you think you can (dotted blue) or sometimes you bump up against the edge when you don't want to, but overall it wasn't a blocker. Thanks!

I absolutely loved this game! I know I watched you code it and playtest it, so the solutions came really easily, but that didn't make it any less fun. Honestly, I spent maybe the first two minutes grooving to the music. After my first playthrough, I went back and tried seeing how few blocks I could use. It was a lot of fun!

I just want to listen to the beat, its amazing! I like the concept and how the player build itself the way to the goal. Great job!

That's some funky music! Sometimes I felt bad removing pieces because I wanted to stay in the groove...

This game was super fun! I loved the fun gameplay, and the music was phenomenal! The idea of the stacking soundtracks is so creative - I must admit, I did just spam a bunch of blocks so I could listen to all of the tracks. Awesome job!

Very cool concept. I love how each of the note blocks you leave behind change the soundscape very clever way to add an extra dimension to the gameplay. Only thing I found out is that if you are touching a block you can spam jump (I don't know if that is intended) Great effort!

Yaay, I managed to beat it!

I loved the concept of placing the platforms, and it fits the theme as well, nice!

The connection with music is very clever too and extremely well executed, good job!

The start screen was extremely zoomed in, my resolution is 1366x768 and apparently its too small because I could barely click on the Play button.

The movements are feeling a bit "floaty". There's a video on youtube called something like "better jumping in unity" in which the person analyzes the mario jump and notes that when the character is falling, the velocity is higher than when he is going upwards. He explains how to implement it, I tried and found that it really improves the game feel.

The hitboxes could be improved too, standing at the edge of the platform was very strange haha.

It would be good to have an indicator of how many boxes you still have, because, on the last level, I spammed the boxes and had to undo all of them later =(

Overall, it's a very enjoyable game! Very impressive for a first time jam!

Nice job. The game mechanic of adding layers of sound is very good. I think initially you should be playing the first layer though, it avoids the issue of having no music playing at the start.

I used on every level the wall jump mechanic. My view is that it was not intentional and ended up being used as a feature. I think the level design could be improved to not use this wall jump so often.

I think the movement could be improved, since it's a platformer you basically rely on having responsive controls. And the put block key was a bad choice, in my opinion, since most of the levels were going to the right, moving the finger from D to E was time enough to die, I had to use the other hand to hit E (I think arrows could be used also, right? I have a 60% keyboard, so it was not an option for me and WASD should suffice).

Another point of improvement is graphics. I think some very basic platforms would be enough to improve the graphics.

Got your game on walaber stream yesterday, it really looked interesting :D Nice work!

I like the concept. As of now it's a very skill-based game rather than a puzzle. It feels kinda slippery because I don't immediately stop moving in the x-direction when I release A/D, not sure if it's intended.

Interesting game mechanic and challenging amount of levels, the music layering on top of each other was also a nice touch.

This is a neat gameplay loop! I think the idea of building the platformer level as you playing is a novel concept and it was cool to see your exploration of that idea.

A couple of points of feedback: I think it would have maybe "felt" better, if when the player was leaving a clone of themselves, the camera lingered longer and gave some type of audio/visual feedback. Speaking of audio/visual feedback, I think adding some to the jump would go a long way in improving the "game feel"

All things considered though, this was a neat game and a great idea!

It's cool to build out your own platforms! Simple, but fun with a nice tune. The slidyness was a bit annoying - especially since it seems to be slidy from it's own momentum and not just when I'm moving left/right.

I love music games and the concept for this was solid! I think the later levels had the goal off the screen for me so I had to stop playing because it became to hard to guess where it might be while jumping off screen. I would have liked a little bit of a shorter cool down for removing and adding a new clone. This is fantastic for a first jam submission!

I liked the layering of different tracks as you left behind copies of your self. My one complaint is that the jump was inconsistent with the height you would jump. If it was tied to the beat it wasn't particularly clear and didn't feel like it was actually connected to anything. Collision boxes also need to be tweaked thats more of a minor thing

I liked it! Simple concept but well-done. I just wish I could have known how many squares I had available since you can run out. I figured out you can remove them with a right-click but it seemed like it took a lot of clicks. The music was chill and suited the mood well. The difficulty progression seemed really good. Great job!
