RESCUR'ROBOT by jiukka

[raw]
made by jiukka for Ludum Dare 46 (JAM)

Hi! it was my first game jam alone, I was so stressed but I did it (I'm so happy ^^).

It's a very short game, you manage a small robot whose mission is to get the injured out of places inaccessible to humans during natural disasters, then bring them back to an extraction point while keeping them alive.

it is the first test of this new technology.

will you pass this first test?

It have potential, but unfortunately it's kinda too short. But still nice.
Oh, and also I've noticed that when you press "space" robot shoots a projectile.
Idk if its remaining from prefabs or you just forgotten to delete. but still kinda confusing.

The game graphic style brings to mind Risk of Rain2. Nice game.

Short but cute game. Great use of VFX. Would have been nice to have more to do than just collect syringes, like moving obstacles out of the way or shooting enemies. Otherwise good work! :)

Solid music, good job creating it in such a short period of time. The game wasn't very engaging for me. I wished there were some interesting choices for me to make or some story unfolding as I play. Good job on the graphics and effects. I like the particle effects around the robot and the human.

Nice concept. Bit too short, but enjoyable.

This is a solid first solo jam game! The title screen music is very cool! Like others mentioned, the particle effects are quite nice. Pushing the human along with the robot felt a little clunky/slippery, it might have been nice to have the ability to tether the human to the robot with a button press.

It's very simple, and it's clear the time constraint made it difficult to create content. However, it's clear you put a lot of effort into this. I think you can be proud of what you made! Keep at it!

Cool concept. Instructions were not clear about the rules but I managed to piece it together from playing. Controls and camera are stiff - implementing something like smooth follow in your code would help. I like how there was a clear goal visually marked with vfx. Points for audio feedback for interactions.

Nice game! I think the concept is nice, but I would expect the controls to be a classic third-person camera (mouse to look around). And I think it's a bit short and some more mechanics would be welcome. But still for a first jam that's pretty cool, congrats :)

I liked it even though it was very short. Good idea, nice VFX and the music was very well fitting. It had a good atmosphere and just lacked a bit more content. Well done!

For future reference, it is good to try and review more games and leave feedback on them. Bigger chance for your game to be seen. Hope you get your 20 reviews in!
