Bullet planet by TC5550

A bullethell-kind-of game where you drive around on planet shooting robots. (Needs more time and polish but it is what it is)

I don't fully understand what the powerups do, maybe you can add a little icon or some text to tell the player what they picked up
Good job !
One question tho - how did you implement the round world? Is it a shader or did you define a sphere as the center of mass? Or have you implemented it in another way?
Nice graphics here. Controls, movements, feels and plays smooth (something rare in this ludumdare, sadly). A little repetitive tho (minor issue on fun factor).
For 3 days of work it's a very good entry 😁
True, it needs polish, but it's clearly a workable prototype from which you can potentially grow the game into something bigger considering you did it all alone!
Nice idea for the theme. The gameplay is interesting since the bullets kinda curve around the world. I liked it. Graphics are pretty neat. It controls well, the movement is really smooth. Some tooltips for the powerups would've been nice.
Anyways, a solid entry. Great job!
There was no sound for me, but I see you opted out of the audio category. Sound would have given great feedback on all interactions(fire, hit, hurt).
I was pretty inaccurate with my bullets, found it difficult to line up shots. Cranking up the bounds of the bullet colliders would make it less punishing to inaccuracy.
Movement could have been tighter too as it felt like the drifting was detracting further from my shooting accuracy.
Graphics where cohesive and looked good. Would be nice if enemy and user bullets were different colors.
Overall a great job, the game has an ooey gooey core, just needs the chocolate shell.
The projectiles were a bit overwhelming for me, but I can't put my finger on why that is. Maybe if the were a little less thick or had somewhat differing colours? I don't know.
Other than that, the only complaint would be that the game started playing with less and less fps as time was going on.
Cool entry all around though!
