Few things I can give feedback on:
* Picking up and throwing up a branch was quite weird at first. I ended up throwing couple of sticks into oblivion :P
* I would really like to have some kind of HP indicator (if there is one, I didn't see it)
* It would be awesome if you could lure fire enemies into the campfire to make the fire bigger and likewise water enemies would make the campfire lower
One thing i would change is collision radius. There was couple of times that I thought i have enough space to run next to enemy and got killed. Also movement fills a bit heavy but I guess thats the feeling you were going for.
Great job.
The particle effects are nice and the graphics are pretty great overall. It's a nice and cohesive style and it fits that "polished retro" look quite well.
In one round/attempt, it seemed that no enemies would spawn, no matter what. I don't know what would cause this, but it's a minor issue since you can just refresh the page.

Here's my playthrough of it: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/600641769
You can be proud of you ! Everything are well crafted, especially the graphics, I liked a lot the bloom effect put on the post-process !
Overall very nice work !
Overall well done!
I find it quite amusing and played several times, but couldn't go past the 2 minute mark. While the concept it's simple, it is easy to understand and the mechanics are very polished, the game works like a charm. Also, the graphics are really good and the sound is great. I just missed a background soundtrack during the main game, just as in the title screen.
Excellent job!
Maybe make clicking through the tutorial mandatory before starting the first game, I feel like it really is necessary and it's pretty hard to figure out what's going on without it. One thing that really confused me in the beginning was that you can't throw burning sticks into the fire. That made me think I misunderstood the mechanics of throwing sticks into the fire until I looked at the tutorial again later.
All in all it was a nice effort for the game jam and just a few tweaks could make it really funn!
I could still attack even after dying, simply deactivating the player or at least the components controlling his attack when he died could prevent that.
Graphics were good for the most part, I'm guessing you just didn't have time to finish the main character. Sounds and music were perfect. I liked how you had to add sticks to the fire, but also sacrifice the fire to make your stick into a flaming weapon.

Very nice entry!
Fun game overall, love the feel, i want to make everything burn in your game tho.
I find the difficulty curve going extremly high real quick, i didn't have time to get used to one enemy that i had a lot of other enemy trying to kill me offscreen, make a great die&retry system, that also avoid to get to wait 10 minuts to get some difficulty, but that's also frustrating on the first run, and kinda kill the fun of the discovery.
I played on normal btw, i assumed that was the way you wanted the game to be played in the first place, maybe i'm wrong about this and should have picked easy.
Great entry !
Anyway if game can be understood without tutorial it means it it a good game, in my believe.
I encountered the bug where no enemies were spawning a number of times and it was kind of annoying. Also, the player movement was a little hard to control for me. It felt a little bit slippery like walking on ice.
All in all a fun game. :thumbsup:
I found that I can just run around and get sticks and the enemies were so slow that they didn't really bother me at all.
Nit Picky notes below:
I have a few notes for you for future references. I've personally noticed during Ludum Dare that people tend to not click a tutorial or a help button, so it's best to find a way to hide it within the game. Once the game opened I quickly pressed play and tried to figure out what to do. Once I couldn't, and died, I clicked the button to "try again". There's currently no easy way to get back to the main menu without refreshing (Making it difficult to change the difficulty as well)
Adding this to the title screen script will make it easier to release your build on web_gl and desktop, without the quit button showing up(Forgive me if you already knew this)
#if UNITY_WEBGL
quitButton.gameObject.setActive(false);
#endif
But yeah, good game!
Overall, it was really fun. Tough a bit, but fun, and the design really nice! :)
If you're not actively trying to fight enemies, the game becomes very easy - Just ran down and to the right, whenever an enemy spawns near you. Because nothing is able to slow you down and there are no walls to stop you, you'll eventually end up "out of bounds" as it were. After about five minutes, I was pretty sure that I could have kept running away indefinitely, without ever losing.
The difficulty ramps up a bit fast, but that might be just me. :laughing:
Nice work!
