Death Spacing by CORRUPTOR2037

[raw]
made by CORRUPTOR2037 for Ludum Dare 46 (COMPO)

You will be playing as a space postman found himself around in the cloud of asteroids. You need to get out and save your ship. Use a seat to rule the ship.

Be careful not to hit an asteroid, it will break your ship. Look for Hull (ship will explode when it became 0), Air (You will suffocate), Energy (Ship will not work when there is no energy), Fuel (ship will not move when Fuel is 0).

When the ship is broken, you need to stand up from the seat and interact with panels. Press E once, then wait while it fixing itself, then press E to stand back.

WASD to walk, Space to jump, E to use, 1-6 to change gravity (so you can reach out for other panels)

Too bad all the loose objects kept piling in a corner. I think the controls should have been a tad bit more snappy. I was stuck a while figuring out i had to hold E to repair an element. Overall great game.

Interesting idea. The interaction shader for the chair was nicely done and I enjoy the concept of jumping up to fix stuff (space legs!) however I think I might have missed a few mechanics.

I escaped after hitting two asteroids and now know that the fixing is find the red panel and press E (found it quickly but a little by accident - I thought it was a button to open the door).
I am not sure what the gravity 1-6 thing is either? I didnt use it anyway. Is the lack of player control after you hit stuff by design or just a hold over from parented physics?

Overall it was a nice idea and I kind of want to see this after a few weeks more development to play as a proper game!

Lack of player control when hit is by design.
To repair, press E once. To exit repair mode, press E again

To big game for 48 hourse jam. Tried to see what would happen if the asteroid crashed. Got a wire issue, the ship became out of control, the game hasn't reacted, it's not clear what to do. You can see what an attractive idea is in the prototype and that a lot of effort has been spent as much as a lot of work has not been done. Одобряю разговоры с резиновой уточкой.

Ship controls seem wrong on the dashboard - it says up/down is pitch, but for me it was forward / backwards, and left/right is strafe not yaw. Cool concept though!

Very authentic. However, I didn't last long enough to reach the destination.

Awesome, I really like it, you put a lot of attention to detail in, I love that you can pick objects up and then they float around the cabin, the fact you can look out of the windows, it gave the game a lot more immersion, also the soundtrack was good and the whole thing had a good and tense atmosphere, I think the wooly spaceship controls definitely helped the tension haha The only thing was I ran out of fuel before getting there and I didn't know what to do to continue?

Wow! The no gravity was really cool! Just amazing that this was done in a compo. The space really feels good. Cool systems, was a little confused on what to do, but i eventually started to figure things out.

This can be steam release game!!! Just change the font of all text, maybe use a higher resolution textures for asteroids and earth, and add some story, like you have a cosmic tablet, where you can see massages that your family or friends wrote. This game is great in everything!!!

Wow, really nice, i like art style and idea of resource management. I got some problems with controls (or not understand it correctly)

Easy 5 for the mood. It was relaxing although you're flying into asteroids  Ship control and movement clunkiness really fit the game.
I'm not sure about gravity changes. Does it change anything beyond gravity itself?

Good idea but too easy when you're used to games like Kerbal Space Program or space-sims. A good addition would be random accidents.

Cool game, especially because it is a completed project. Music, gameplay and graphics are all at a good level.

Great game! I think that if there is an oportunity to move up and down (maybe instead of back and forward) it would be better and easier to understand how the spaceship behaves in gravity
