LIVEFIRE
A game created in 48 hours for Ludum Dare 46.
The theme was "Keep It Alive".
In this game you control falling blocks with the goal of keeping your campfire alive. If your fire goes out you lose. You can also lose if your fire goes over the top line. Kindling will catch fire faster, but won't burn as long. Logs will take longer to catch fire, but will burn longer than kindling. Water will extinguish all fire directly below it.
There are 10 levels, increasing the speed at which blocks drop every 1 minute.
I didn't have time to create any music or sound. :(
Controls:
Press the Up Arrow to spin your block. Press the Z/X button to pause and/or to view a small guide

I really gotta check out this Pico8 thing. So sweet and retro.
And you really did a great job on pixel art considering the Pico-8 limitations!
When I was playing and found a good rhythm it looked and felt like dancing fire on the screen.
This has been the best use I've seen so far of using a "Keep the fire alive" takes.

It would need some more sound effects, maybe some more visual effects, a combo system or more clear scoring system and some awesome tunes to really elevate it. For the kindling and logs I just treated them the same and put them close to the fire - it's a bit hard to tell when you're playing good or bad.
