Super charming art style, love the run animation!

Nice art. I really love how you set up the interactions. It is such a simple solution for a complex problem to just make the character magnet to a building, you imminently understand where you are and the object knows he has the focus. I wans't able to understand the game and so I did not end up progressing in it a lot because I kept loosing. Maybe a text with some instructions would be helpful for the first couple of actions.

As cannedveg said above, the rubbery run animation was hilarious!

Well this is cute! The game play is simple, but still hectic in a fun way. A tutorial on where I was supposed to go would have been nice, but I didn't have much trouble figuring it out.

I like the art and the music, and the tiny children running around was funny too.

I had to stop playing after getting the car though, because the noise was driving me crazy.

Ran back and forth between the house, the company and the store. The model are beautiful. The background music sounds a little strange on my computer. Love the concept.

Its really fun. Definitely would not show to kids! Would love for an ending condition declaring you the winner. Audio for the car is a bit loud and intrusive.

Found both your secrets: Ninja is overpowered and there really is no escape :P

Nice art and mechanics - being able to go faster feels pretty good once you've gotten an upgrade. I found that the game got easier as time went on, and it was generally more difficult starting off. I think it would be pretty cool if this game was expanded to have a larger city and more interactive bits!

@polypickle I'm glad you found them! I'm assuming that means you found your way to hell? And became a master? ;) (I realize it's ambiguous what the secrets could be, and the game doesn't explicitly tell you that you found them. I would have loved to have time to add a list of achievements/possible endings to try and find.

@kromeboy It could go on forever. You could try to get a billion dollars! lol, but that's not one of the 2 secret? I'll just say, once you find a way to try to escape living, and when you achieve "mastery" you will have found the two "endings"

@sacrface I'm so glad you found the secrets! Sorry about the car noise. For some reason ALL of the sounds ended up sounding worse in the build as opposed to in the Unity editor.

I think this game is the perfect example of "simple, yet compelling". I spent way more time playing than I initially expected. Fun simple premise with a hilarious secret! It was very entertaining to watch all of the mini-me's running around.

Charming! Rat race of life, once I figured how it worked I immediately wanted to quit and go relax on the beach. :)

This is a funny game. Looks good, sounds good, the car is fun. I'm not sure what the ninja stars are for but I bought 2 of them!

Took me a while to figure out what I was doing, but I got the hang of it quite fast and realized each building's purpose. Was nice to figure out the mechanics of what to do and the different resources felt balance. The car noise was horrible but otherwise very cute and nice game! I suppose the car is time limited or something because it disappeared after a while when I bought more HP in the upper house. It would be awesome with an ultimate goal, maybe a final building that costs a lot of resources to unlock.

@owl-skip THanks for the feedback. I agree. Sound was the most "after-thought" part of this for me, as this was the first time I ever attempted at making my own sounds. I would have liked less retro 8-bit sounding and more like you said, gels with the visual and gameplay style better.

@robinerd Thanks for the feedback! Yes that sound turned out awful! lol! It's not super intuitive, but once you have the car you can at-will toggle it on/of by pressing space when you are not in a building. For now the ultimate goal is the ninja dojo. Did you find it and unlock it's secret? ;)

Really love the game, I was able to get out of the confined environment as a Ninjia, not sure if that is a bug. Overall quite funny and it matches the theme very nicely. A life simulator :D :D The music also keep you in the hilarious and relaxed mood. What did you use to make the music and sounds?

The one thing that stood out for me as being a bit sore was the music. It was funky, but didn't feel coherent or interesting.

Hahaha, what charm! It reminde me of stick rpg from way back when. It's even got a little secret. I do wish there were an ending after everything is unlocked, though, some kind of closure. Anyway, very good!

Hard to understand what everything do, but since dying and restarting is seemless it's no biggy you can run around again and again to discover what everything do.
A bit to hectic for my taste, as it is late so I didn't run around to find the two secrets. I have bookmarked it for another day :)
Overall a great sweet (jammy even) game!

This game is really well made! Had a ton of fun playing. A bit challenging at the beginning but it gets easier as you progress. Loved the ninja thing a lot. Saddened me a bit the fact it finished "so fast", though enjoyed it a lot. Well done!

Very cool game :) The best so far. Its a little overwheling at the beginning, I "didn't get love" for 5-6 times before I really get into the game.

When the first kid popped out I was shocked. I fell in love with this game. The humour in it is so nice, the graphics simple. Only one thing. I hate the car noise. I'd rather run than constantly listen to the car. So you can imagine how ecstatic I was when I completed the first secret. I had assumed that the second easter egg was becoming a millionaire. And as I was cashing in the work place for $2000 dollars a pop with the energy I gained from eating half a chicken, I was soooo sad when even though I was a millionaire, nothing special happened. That was my own foolish greed though, the second easter egg was aight.

That was fun!
But now I'm almost a little dizzy. The camera movement was probably a bit too much for me and the car noise was really bad.
But I really liked the game mechanics. I also liked the graphics. The "snapping into buildings" helped a lot with playing

The graphics and animations are adorable! I struggled with the controls though, I couldnt get back to the love house quick enough. The mini-me that popped out of the house had me giggling :)

This was fun, I'm not sure if there's a way to beat the game but I did max out both my meters

I wish I had time to put in more milestones/eastereggs to discover, but alas, I ran out of time. Becoming a millionaire surely should have been one of them. You were completely justified in expecting something to happen there. Also, yes the car sound was WAY worse in the final build than how it sounded in editor for some reason.

@fat-cat there's not a way to "beat" the game, but if you maxed out your meters, bought a car, found the secret hidden within the Dojo, and tried to "escape" then you found everything.

The second that I saw the walking animation I knew I would love this game. Made some money, got fit, kept the wife happy, made a lot of kids, bought a car, became a ninja. The whole package. Amazing entry!

It's true to its name, that was very satisfying! Who knew one man could single-handedly increase the population and stimulate the economy of a small town.

Great game in all seriousness. Pretty funny (especially that secret). Only complaint is that some sounds like the car engine were a bit too loud.

That was a very funny game. I have so many little spawns running around :laughing:. Biggest issue is the car noise which was very distracting. Fortunately, I think it bugged out and disappeared when I got too swole. For a demo game, it was worth my while. I hope you can add more stuff to do in the game.

I liked this game a lot - I feel like it mirrors real life, if only a bit cynically xD The animations are hilarious. The banging in the love house is very ... real I guess? xD I also felt like the tooltips explained what each building does really well, and the balance was right. The one downside was the car engine sound, I preferred to walk instead.

Super funny entry, I love the way the character moves ahahah. I had a blast playing it, I loved the fast-paced gameplay and the graphics were super eye candy. Finally found the secrets too, now I want to make a game with Naruto Run lmao. Wonderful 48 hours solo work, keep it up !

The running animation is super funny and the music is somewhat weird yet very fitting! Aesthetics are pretty nice I think.

that was a fun game! The movement, especially how the character sort of snaps into buidings, felt very good. That's a nice detail that doesn't always show up in regular jam entries, and you did in in a compo! So my hat's off to you. It was a good application of the theme, and it's got ninja. A++

The game is amazing, but it could use a highscore which would help the player keep playing with the motive to beat their own highscore.

This really perfect the game mechanics is solid. Very original with this theme ! This game its the life ! Realisation is good, very polish. i have just noticed 2 things: I didn't really understand the use of the gymroom, and when you are in a house, you can switch between car and human. But it really fun and addictive, congratulations !
