Rock'em All!
You are a sphere-man who loves ROCK'N ROLL, and a lead guitar in a band. One day, as you are playing in a bar, audience asked you to stop playing what you love!
You couldn't let rock music slowly fade away and die, you need to keep your band and your music alive! Keep your band alive by shooting enemies with your gu"itar"n!
Collect points to unlock new tracks! Remember, your music is your weapon!
Rock'em All is a 3D topdown shooter where you use the power of your band's songs to kill your enemies. You change your songs to change the power of your guitar. This power determined by the BPM (beats per minute) of your songs. Slower songs (low BPM rate) deal more damage, but you fire them less frequent. Faster songs (high BPM rate) deal less damage, but you fire them more frequent.

@ekin
super fun
good music, good graphics but the gameplay was kind of lacking. Where your cursor is is kind of off from where you are actually shooting which is kind of frustrating and hard to get used to. Anyways, good job!
The particle effects on the attacks when you hit the enemies look really cool!
The tutorial was a nice addition, giving you chance to experiment with the controls before being under real pressure.
My only complaint is that you hide the score when you lose! I don't know what my final score was (I was aiming for 1000, I think I didn't quite make it tho)
Overall this was very fun!
PS As a lover of rhythm games I'd thought it'd be cool that if you like clicked in time with the song you could do bonus damage or something... Just an idea :)
The main problem for me is that the ennemies are always going to the same point, therefor I m just not moving and always firing at the same point kind of. I think ennemies should also attack the player somehow, to find something to make the player feel that he needs to move a bit more
Overall a good entry, congrats!
But game size a bit bigger then my browser and I don't see some top or down texts(only half), also after 700 score was freezes
There are just some minor problems, game lacked some SFX, footsteps and damage sounds, its hard to feel how much damage the band was getting, maybe that might be helpfull :P
The laser was not pointing at the cursor, this made it near impossible to play fast, do reflex like shots and of course 360's :) I think while firing the you should calculate direction from the (gun? guitar?)'s barrel.
Tutorial was overwhelming, everything was fighting for my attention and I was trying to play the game and read the text at the same time, maybe some good old slow-mo with a screen fade will fix it. But maybe you haven't used it because it would ruin the rythm I am not sure :P
Anyways, one of my favorites. Keep up the good work!
Gameplay-wise, this is not my cup of tea, but the game played smoothly and the controls were responding as they should (except for the two issues described below).
It might be that I'm slow (or because of the rhythm mechanic), I had a hard time stopping the punks before they got to the stage.
As for the controls, WSAD (or arrow keys) didn't work at all during my first play, so I was just standing there, shooting from the stage, lost and then got stuck in the tutorial. Reloading the game fixed the problem, so that was probably just a temporary glitch.
Another issue was aiming - when I clicked on the upper body of an enemy, I missed (it was a close miss, but still). You might want to add an aiming aid, or expand the colliders a bit so that players can click anywhere on the body of the enemies and hit...
Loved the soundtracks too, keep rocking on my dudes! :fist:
Great entry!
I managed to win! I guess I rock :sunglasses: and so does the game!
Thanks for making it!
