Intro:

You are the ancestral spirit of the kudu, here to guide your children through the dangers of the savanna and into a prosperous future.

Instructions / How to play:

You begin in an beautiful empty savannah, ready for a herd to thrive!

Choose the herd size you think you can support and the amount food available to them, then see if you have what it takes to survive a week on the plains when panthers are prowling. Good luck!

Camera Movement:

W/A/S/D - Move horizontally Space - Move up X - Move down

Right click/drag to mouselook

Shift - Speed boost

Blessings (Each night you can spend mana to give blessings to any Kudu born) * Fertility - More babies * Vigilance - Kudu have keener senses * Floral Abundance - Kudu 'leavings' grow plants more often * Agility - Kudu sprint more quickly * Second Wind - Kudu gain a burst of speed before running out of energy

Only members of the blessed litter retain each blessing, but they do so for as long as they live!

It would have been a lot more interesting if you could have interfered with things more directly, giving certain animals temporary boons to save them, etc. As it is I just have to wait and watch the animals spin endlessly around bushes, which isn't very engaging.

@shinmera Heya, thanks for playing! Yeah, I definitely agree that interacting more directly would've ultimately been a better fit. Our original plans for blessings didn't pan out since they were implemented in the final hour, which means the game mostly ended up a "watch kudu run from panthers" simulator.

You helped me realize that we totally didn't mention the panthers at all in any of the literature or instructions though, and there's nothing indicating where or when they'll spawn ingame 😫. I've updated the description so hopefully folks will know what to look for and can at least enjoy the intense chases!
