You are lost in a forest. Alone, you have built a fire. You are cold and hungry, and there is not much around you. With what little you can find, you will have to keep yourself alive, but do not forget to feed the fire or you will freeze to death.

I really like the art and concept of the game. The mood was very spot on, I only wish that there was more to your decisions, as it is very obvious of who gets what. Great game jam entry!

@plagueofminds Thank you! Yes, we wanted to add many more things to it. But we had to be realistic and make it simpler.

I like having to keep both you and the fire alive! The game is pretty fun, audio's great and there is a really cool atmosphere! I also managed to save myself :D

Everything in the aesthetics department is absolutely fantastic: Graphics, Audio, Mood. The gameplay was too easy as long as you feed the fire half of the time and other times feed yourself. Also I found duplicate resources on the same playthrough so variety would have benefitted. All in all, great aesthetics!

Really liked the mood, great descriptions on the mushrooms and berries burning making me unsure if they were edible.

Really liked the concept as well as the visuals, it was also a good use of theme! Maybe if your hunger and the flames displayed variables, it could have also gone down a resource management style game path! The music and sound effects were also very nice! Overall, this is a really good jam entry!

Great game! the feeling when you saved the guy was great. Unfortunately the game play itself wasn't so fun.

Really nice job. I enjoyed a lot the atmosphere with the music and graphics. It must really suck to get stucked like that...

Indeed has a great atmosphere! I also like that the simplicity of the interaction matches the length of the game, and can totally see how you would have thought of adding much more. Lots of potential! :D well done!

Great little idea with good music, art and atmosphere. Simple gameplay, but it makes sense and fits the theme well. I swear I got a run of stuff that made it impossible to win? But I tried a couple of times and was able to finish it.

Well done - thanks for sharing!

I like the art of the game and the idea is great. It will have been better to have more complex decision but overall the game is really nice and enjoyable to play !

Nice and moody. The art looks great and fits very well. The gameplay is a bit too dependent on random chance for my taste, you can easily get a streak of items you don't need and lose. Apart from that though, great entry!

I actually really enjoyed this game! I feel like more items should be added though, and i dont know if you can get sick, or hurt yourself while searching for resources, but i feel like if you added that it would add a new level of difficulty to the game. Overall veerrrryy nice.

Game looks great, and is easy to pick up. The gameplay is a little bit too simple and it doesn't seem like you can keep track of your stats, which make your choices seem a bit uninteresting

All in all I tried testing my luck to see if I could keep myself alive and not give food to the fire as its a waste ;) It only lasted until day 6 I think. I would have preferred having more options where you would have more difficulty choosing between who you want to feed. It was pretty obvious in most cases.. Artwork was also very nice (well done to Shubi). This is one of the most aesthetically pleasing games I have played so far..

I the feel of the game. The darker background art, the moody yet mysterious sounding music, the sound of crackling fire... It all builds up to this amazing story of what's happening, and I love it. These aspects of the game make it feel fun and incredibly unique, even though the gameplay is ultimately making a series of binary choices. So great job on this.

On the gameplay side of things, the game is basic. You can eat or feed the item to the fire. I never seemed to get choices that made me have to think too hard, which was slightly disappointing. In the scenario that the game is expanded upon, I'd love to see more choices with more consequences. Currently, there is the core gameplay, which was implemented well, now there just needs to be more.

Thanks for submitting this game, I find it impressive. Great job!

Also, this reminds me of a game called Reigns by Devolver Digital. I recommend checking it out, it may provide good inspiration :)

Very nice feel to this game, the shrinking flame and the slowly slumping figure were excellent indicators of how well you were doing on each front. I liked that almost all elements that would normally shown in the HUD were done in this way to make the game feel more natural. The graphics were nice, and the crackling of the fire and dry cough really added to the feel. My only complaint would be that the game mechanics themselves felt very random, as most items were only suitable for either burning or eating, with just a few exceptions. Despite that, the look and feel of the game kept me playing a few times until I was finally rescued.

I had a nice feeling playing the game with the music and the mood it gives.

The options were too random sadly, feeling like there is no real choices some times.

The atmosphere to this game was excellent! The art was clear, appealing, and gave off a great vibe for the type of strategy you set up. I agree that the options were relatively simple, but I still felt satisfaction whenever I put something into the fire that gave off a good smell, even knowing that the main concern was starvation. The title screen and setup give it a nice, polished feel, and while I can see definite room for adding more challenge and difficulty, it felt complete in its own right! Great work!

I really like the graphics and the music. It also matches the theme pretty well. Though in my opinion the game is a little to luck based. Overall a great game.

Graphic design and music set the mood very nicely. It feels a bit limited in terms of scope, due to the luck based options. i'm sure there will be plenty of opportunity to expand post-jam.

@tibo Thank you very much for the comment. Reviewing it we have found several grammatical errors. The rush haha

@tommeh @thewustache @gurglesprain @mathias-van-hooreweghe Thanks for the comment. If you're right. The gameplay is simple, but we prioritized that everything work well to have many things: D We wanted it to be as polished as possible.

@platyp Thanks for the comment! We wanted to make an event jump if you ate the mushrooms and wake up several days later. With the fire and the character either very well, or very badly. But we didn't have time to put it in. Maybe in the future.

@black-flag Thanks for the comment! We prefer not to put indicators so that you had to decide if you gave it to one or the other without knowing too much. Just looking at how the big flame and your status appear to be.

@evert @ladmiester @mathias-van-hooreweghe @william-nomikos @peteywoufes @briibot @jamesolivermusic Thanks for the comment! We may continue development. You are encouraging us a lot with the comments. Thank you!

@been @keln Thank you very much for the comment. We may continue to develop it and add more options. In this event we prioritized having something that works well, even if the objects were random and something simple. But we do not rule out continuing to improve it outside the event!

Cool game! The graphics, sound and mood were stunning <3
The gameplay idea is a good one and it's a great idea to do this for mobile, pretty good result for an LD :)
You could continue to work on this and put it on the app store!
As for expanding the gameplay, you could add more things to consider, like give yourself two slots for eating and crafting or something (like you could also wear the skin of the animal to keep you warm)
or you can decide how you spend your trip, like going out, looking for food, or searching a shelter etc.
I think this can be a really cool "though decisions" kind of game :)
Do you know This War of mine? Might be a good inspiration, although the situation is a bit different there ^^
30 Seconds! also is pretty similar in terms of gameplay.
Good job overall, congrats on finishing your game (:
