Idle_ld.gif + Mate is a robot,he found out he could transfer his consiousness into his comrades ...

RollBack.gif + AutoMate is a puzzle-game where you have to think about "how can WE pass it ?" To pass the doors, you can use 2 abilities, first you can interract with the buttons, lever and pressure plate.

  • Second, a rollback comes every 12 seconds no matter what. You can also do a rollback by yourself. When the rollback is finished, your consiousness has been transferded into another robot and the used robot will repeat your previous actions.

  • Use your robots to help you to finish the levels and pass through the red doors. Don't forget to open the doors for your rollbacked mate, or he might be stuck !

Love the concept of this game, and the graphics are so cute!

Really polished looking game! This was my very first thought when booting it up! The splash cards, the main menu. And then when I started the game I was even more blown away the amount of effort put into all the level and assets. Really great concept of using your 'auto mate' (great pun btw) to help your solve puzzles, getting more and more intricate as the level went on.

My only gripe(s) would be the fixed camera angle as sometimes it would clip through the walls or I wasn't able to see where I wanted to go as much I would've wanted to. Also you might want to change the ROLLBACK sound effect as it got a tad annoying after a while.

Solid entry! Well done :D

Great little puzzler, managed to feel stressful even for simple tasks. The camera is more than a little wonky at times.

The game looks great! The music was cool too. It was kind of confusing what the rules of the game were but it was still a great entry. The camera was making me ill. It was going bananas!

Really cool art style. Also very fitting to the theme.
The controls are a little too, ehm, on steroids? :D

Outstanding intro! Graphics look really cool, although sometimes there are so many things its hard to keep track of what's important. The upbeat music, flashy lights and camera movement create a strong hyper mood.

Hey @vetu11 !
Thank you for reporting this, I don't know what happened.

I don't use Linux but I just built the game to Linux, would you like to try it ?
www.nelowgames.art/downloads/AutoMate_linux.zip

I would like to know if it works out of the box on linux, because this time, I didn't make it WebGL compatible :/

Absolutely fantastic game! Took me a while to get my head around what the core mechanic was but once I figured that out - wow!

Beautiful to look at. Awesome music. Really clever and challenging gameplay. The only thing I would have liked is the ability to move the camera because I tended to waste lives looking around the level to figure out what interactables there were.

Great work!

I can see so much effort was put in to this game!
Sadly I had issues doing anything. Didn't know what key the second function was. Didn't know what to do :slight_frown:

At first, graphics are great, I feel comfort when I play and look at visual part. Had some misunderstanding with a game, but after some time everything was okey, thx for good project!

@Kornel,
Thanks you for your feedback, I'm continuing to polish the controls and the understanding of the levels as more people give me this kind of feed backs, without modifying puzzles :)

Graphics and concept are really great. You really got me with all the glowy shaders :D Only thing that I didn't like was that the camera movement feels a bit choppy.

Very great game! Interesting, fun, and challenging. The mechanics take a little while to get accostumed to, due mostly to the fact that you have limited robots, which is fun.

One little thing that confused me on the keyboard and mouse version is the control scheme. Normally you would use E to interact, but in this case it was for rollback. That confused me.

But again, other than that, very fun!

pretty impressive for a game jam! Well done!

Seems like there will be a lot of time looping games this jam. Well, the more the merrier!
First things first the obvious downer is the camera movement. It makes it really hard to make sense of everything that's happening.
Other than that it was a really cool puzzle game with some solid puzzle designs. I really liked the fact that you have multiple things to do in progression for each robot, this way in the end when you finally solve the puzzle it all looks like an elaborate, chaotic but at the same time calculated dance.

At first I hated the way the game makes me rush and speedrun through the puzzles and I thought of it as a genre-mechanics mismatch, but surprisingly enough by the end I got into a rhythm of things and almost screamed "Give me more fast paced puzzles to blaze through at a speed of sound!" when it ended a bit abruptly.

So yeah, it looks and sounds really good (I especially enjoyed the attention to all the menus), it plays quite well except the camera so if you have time and opportunity I'd suggest fixing it and uploading a post-jam version.

Once there were 3 robots in the mix, it got to be a bit much for me, since the robots felt a little bit difficult to move around. The camera also didn't quite feel ideal for a game like this, making it difficult to grasp the puzzle at times, but works well otherwise. The art looks fantastic and the design is otherwise very well done. The music feels a bit like a mismatch to me, but that's just personal preference in the end.

Great job overall!

I like that the feeling/controls are quite fast and nervous but the camera moves felt a bit harsh on my eyes. On the better side, i loved the art style and the timeloop mechanic :)

Really nice graphics! the robot looks really cute and the ambience feels great.
Searching for objects to interact with was a little difficult due to the camera movement tho.

Fun puzzle game with fine grathics and dynamic gameplay, but sometimes it seems very speedy and not clear how it works, but it's pretty promising.

Really Really Really good! Gameplay on steroids makes it a bit difficult at first but once you get a grip it becomes really enjoyable maybe a bit of pacing (slow mo) when entering/exiting rollback phases could help your player understand more in the beginning (tutorial only?) Anyway, really good job to all of you for coming up with such a cool game!

@peeweek Thank you, at the beginning, we wanted to create a simple tutorial but as we don't have much time we decided to make a level that will be harder on each puzzle. We will make another puzzle with a better comprehension of the puzzle and helps.Thank you for your feedback :)

I had a great time playing this game on stream! I love the puzzle design although I kind of cheesed the last level a bit. Maybe would benefit from a little slower player movement and a button to reset the current segment.

What a phenomenal entry! My favourite of this jam so far. You took so much time to get such a lovely polished look to it. It's absolutely gorgeous, the glowing feels so warm, the soudns were great, the UI was great, even the little intro screen was brilliant.

The core loop was one I expected to see done a fair bit this jam, but I think you really got the best out of the concept, I loved having to stack them, and only being able to cascade by one was very interesting and a different take on the mechanic.

In the end, there's very little I can criticise. There seemed to me like I didn't quite understand the rles and sometimes I think I solved things in ways you weren't meant to, and it would have been nice to zoom out a bit or give me control of the camera as at times it felt a little claustrophobic. But honestly I think this is a fantastic entry. Music and sound was lovely too and there's a skill in finding music that fits your game.

Well done.

Wow, I really dug this! I ran into a small couple of camera control issues, and had a bit of a tough time figuring out how exactly everything worked together: things felt maybe a touch more frantic than you may have intended?

I absolutely enjoyed my time with this one, the puzzles were neat, and I adored the music you went with

The idea, gameplay, music and art are very cool. The controls felt a bit too loose for my taste, barely touching D will blast you in that direction really fast, a bit too fast for the size of the spaces you move in. Everything else was top notch.

Love the pace of this game! Puzzles are balanced enough to be solved in 2-4 attempts which is good.

Great game, took some time to understand what was happening after the first couple puzzles but after that it was smooth sailing. Loved the use of multi step puzzles that didn't just boil down to "Stand here with the first bot, stand here with the second bot = Win" there was actually some puzzles that required multiple steps that required thought.

@nekorio

I remember it was not available, which means you opted-out it from ratings (same as Humor). I assumed you used pre-made assets (which is fine for Jam). While I did notice the logo was pretty neat and original. I would rate graphics high though! :star:
