Maintenance by bereg
Did you ever try to maintain something useless? Something no one cares about? Something valuable only to you?
This game or rather short interactive experience is about the beauty of meaninglessness. Your decisions can't change anything, but they are yours.

You are playing as AI trying to maintain old monorail in a dead city. You can control the point of view with buttons on the left side of the screen.
The game has an ending, total playtime is about 5 minutes.
Textures are from http://www.cc0textures.com SFXs are from https://freesound.org/
Other than that everything was made from scratch in 48 hours.
Idea, modeling, coding, and music by Stanislav Demchenko (Bereg Studio).
Instruments: Unity3D, Houdini, Photoshop, Cubase.
It's my first ever Ludum Dare.
Keep it alive.

Nevertheless, this is a very beautiful game. I love how the camera moves from one train to another.
The concept is amazing and thought-provoking. The scene and the music make it quite immersive. Amazing work!
Thank you! I was trying to balance between "too much of the gameplay" and "no gameplay at all". I think I need to take some rest and play it again with a fresh eye.
Thank you! Those are the kind of emotions I tried to convey. Glad you liked it.
I really liked the graphics and the ambient sounds.
Cheers
This should definitely have been a Jam entry given that you used outside textures and sound effects, but I've tried to give a fair rating on all categories other than Graphics and Audio. The work you did do in these areas was very good, especially the design of the city.
Well done for 48 hours.
Solid job.
The mood is brilliant. Sound and graphics working nice together here.
'Meaninglessness' was a nice topic. After playing and thinking about it (while watching the screen) I felt a bit like a kid again. Playing with my toys and imagine stupid stuff to enjoy my time.
As a game though it was quite nice, I'm not a huge fan of games where your decisions don't do anything. The mood was really good and it did make me feel.
As stated above, your entry didn't follow the rules, which is a bit of a shame because it was pretty nice. I tried to rate it fairly anyways, but maybe see if you can switch it to the jam. Nice work all the same.
Glad to hear you also like Chamolile tea!
Great entry!
My LD game is very similar in the context of being just an atmospheric narrative of you not being able to change anything in the way of the universe - that's it, it's either tragedy or flow. That's why I really liked your entry.
I don't think people is being fair with you in regards of the audio. You said in the description that you made the music, and I would vote 5 stars for it, because it is very atmospheric and relaxing.
