Fun take on the theme. I love the idea that you are a battery that can lose power and be charged back up. Movement is pretty difficult, but I guess that is part of the design.

Amazing game! I just wish that it was a little longer. There wasn't really much about it that i didn't like, except for the length, but I understand, these games are really short.

The art is beautiful in this game!

Controls are hard, and getting to the first charging station is a momentous task!

Beautiful Artstyle, solid Gameplay.
But...
The movement sound is way too loud and annoying after a while^^
The rest is great

Generally cool idea and nice execution, although movement feels a little clunky even tho fun idea. I got restarted back to beginning after recharging but the charging sound kept going tho.

I like the concept but didn't really feel like the implementation did it justice. Sometimes I misclicked on the charging station and it closed down so I just had to wait until I died. The gameplay feels a bit too slow and movement is somewhat clunky, let the player be constantly on move while holding down the movement keys might solve this issue. Maybe charging the doors could be an instant drain on your energy instead of waiting for it, electric currents doesn't really feel like it should be a bad thing since the player character has an energy theme to it and recharging the battery sometimes killed me seconds after leaving the station, but with some polish, I believe it would make for a good game. All in all, I liked the art and I feel it has potential to become a fun experience.

Nice concept. I think opening the doors could be automatic when you stand close to them. Also my game got glitched out when I reached the loading and restarted. The controls did not feel very intuitive and responsive. I think after tuning the controls a bit this concept has a lot of potential.

Interesting movement idea but was a bit clunky to get used to. Text in the options menu is way too small. Also it's a jam game I wouldn't bother with an options menu and instead focus on gameplay next time ;) The move sounds got really annoying I'd replace them with something less high pitched.

@kwaku never experienced that bug while testing, i guess we kinda overdid the overcharge mechanic

@kagerowo thank you for the review!! i agree about the movement being clunky, it could really use polishing. also when doing the electric currents i was like "a 1,5 V battery most likely wouldnt enjoy a unknown voltage electric field" so i went with it being a bad thing!

I liked the pixel art, the batteries were cute and it was funny to jump around doing battery things.

Something was wrong with the volume controls though, both sliders adjusted the music volume and the sound effects were **very LOUD**, so I had to turn down my system volume until I couldn't hear the music. :(

@fryer yeah the sound implementation was real bad, it just kinda flew over my head :stuck_out_tongue:
