made by Arqcenick for Ludum Dare 46 (JAM)

The age of the great empire is over, corruption and failure to modernize had led to the demise of the once great empire The Empire of Ekulerome is falling, can you ease the fall or perhaps bring the empire to its former glory.

In this faux-rome strategy, you're surrounded by ravaging barbarians. You must defend the borders as the barbarians get more numerous with time. Manage your resources and defend the cities, how long will it take for you to fall?

I think the game has a very cool idea that could be extended upon. Although it doesn't seem to fit the theme too well (don't worry about that tho, its a nice game)

interesting concept could be developed further and turned into a mobile strategy game but needs a little more explanation about the gameplay I'm confused about what to do, good job

Loved the art style and the overall idea. Wish there was a bit more UI for each unit to detail how much each recruitment takes, and how their attack/defence works!

I had a really fun time seeing how long I could survive. The one thing I might suggest is putting the year you collapsed on the game over screen.

Interesting ideia, but the lack of audio and tutorials made this game somewhat frustrating. Not a bad game,I can see the effort you put into making this.

Cool idea, but a tutorial would be nice to grasp the gameplay elements more that I did. I really like the art style though.

really cool game, but I think that if you had sound effects or any other player feedback for kills or dominations it would be a lot better. But anyways the ideas is well implemented, I didn't found any bug while playing and fits well on the theme to try to keep your empire alive.

If you could rate my game and give feedback also, I would be really glad.

Deceptively addictive. Got really stuck in and played for way longer than I expected to. Props!

This is a cool strategy game idea, it feels a bit like a variant of a chess game and was pleasant to play. It misses some feedbacks though (mostly units upkeep/recruitment costs). Also I don't know if I missed something but I didn't succeed to capture cities.

Thank you for your feedbacks, I only had 16 hours to complete the game and then I had an issue with the Unity Player which took 2+ hours to resolve... I was going to add the feedback and sound effects but nevertheless I managed to submit.
Maybe in a post-jam build eh?

Love the styling! The overall look is great - simple, clean, and consistent.

It also seems like you have the core of a neat little system here.

I did run into some game-breaking issues - it seemed like enemies and their cities were sometimes positioned on tiles which I had no way of reaching. So, unless I'm missing something about the mechanics, I don't think it was possible for me to win the game. There were also situations where it looked like I should be able to move onto a particular tile (based on the unit's movement shape), but it wasn't permitted for some reason.

A few more hours to address some of these issues, and I think you'd have something very cool!

Nice idea, something I'd play on mobile if it was available. Wish I could win by conquering the red towns, for some reason I can't conquer anything that's on the edge of the map.

I think the graphics worked very well, not sure I understand how every piece works, ended up with an all legionaires army that worked quite well.

I got to the end at the second try. Very good game and clever use of chess-like mechanics. The lack of audio is sad tho, with some SFX the game would be much better.

Overall the game is very good and fun.

I really liked the idea but was a little confused as I thought I could conquer cities as well (can I? I didn't manage to do it...)
