athletic hamster, cool game

It's kinda fresh i'm not even going to lie.

Im so glad my lil guy was able to explore the cosmos in the end! I loved it, everything from the derpy intro song to the rolling animation. Didnt think an endless-runner type game would make me smile like his haha.

I really liked the effects used to give the sense of speed - the speed lines and the hyperspeed camera

I liked the polish put into the game, high-octance is an apt descriptor

YO!!!!! I LITERALLY JUST GAVE THIS 5/5 in EVERYTHING! I absolutley love this game, like probably the most fun I have had all jam so far. I would love to make a game like this!!!! How did you do it, so curious! Its fun, audio is great, its challenging and kept me in my flow! Thanks for such a great entry!!

I'll give you a few hints on how we did it: The hamster only moves left/right and up/down, the rest of the movement is actually the wheel that spins, and we have a bunch of invisible triggers on the wheel that spawn obstacles on the wheel behind the camera. The speed effect (other than making things move super fast), is mostly done using camera FOV and particle effects.

Really nice game overall! 3D models can use some work and also when you're too fast there shouldn't be repetitive long obstacles since they become impossible to dodge. other than that nice job!

Love the theme tune, going fast is always fun, can't go wrong with that. Simple, bosh, well done. Rootin' for that hamster to go even further beyond.

This was good! I liked the neon theming, I liked that the loop let you see really far ahead so you could plan your moves. It felt like there were some places where it was impossible to avoid obstacles and the distortion sometimes made it difficult to judge distances properly, but overall this was really impressive. Well done!

Awesome! Such a great example of how a simple but complete game is better than a complex but unfinished one. The audio is great and works well with the rest of the game, the graphics are great for the purpouse and the game overall just works really well. I would have liked even more particle effects when going hyper speed to really emphasize the velocity and give the player a sense of accomplishment, but that's just a minor complaint. Great job guys!

Great job ! I love the 3d hamster model doing flips over the ledges and trying to get it to go “hyper velocity”. It feel a bit like Subway Surfer in a way and the music is awesome. Also, I made a 2d hamster game about going as fast as you can in a hamster wheel too 😂!

Instant classic! I loved everything about this: The singing, the graphics, the sound effects, the sound track, the rewarding gameplay, the story arch and the distortion that happens when you reach high speeds. I had a huge smile on my face and sang "Hypeeeeeer Hamsteeeeer" by the time I reached hyper velocity!

Lol, love it! Opening voice over was really good, graphics and controls excellent. Deceptive in difficulty after a few seconds. Nice job!

Fun game, hilarious theme. We actually did a pretty much almost the same style game "The Circle".. great entry!

I loved it. At one point I was like, "How does this relate to the theme? Ohhhhhh." :laughing: I was able to launch my hamster into space after about two minutes. An endless runner in a hamster wheel was a clever take on the theme. I really enjoyed the graphics (especially the speed lines) and audio too. Great job!

Pretty straightforward take on the theme super polished into a wonderfully silly game. I love the electric guitar jamming to a hamster running in its wheel. Nicely done!

Haha the Hyyypeeeeeeeer Hamsteeeer at the title screen was great and funny!
It grew a bit overwhelming at the highest speed, but it is a really solid game! Great sound/music, and who doesn't like a sugar rush? Great entry!

Haha there should be a seperate category for all those hamster loop games. Really liked it, especially the speed and the silly music :)

Good take on the theme and a fine game. It was a bit annoying that the text covered the place you wanted to see the most, but it was manageable. Did complete the game, so it was nice that the hamster was not truly stuck in a loop forever. :smile: Can I ask if the ground model is a circle, or if it's a shader giving it the perspective?

honestly, this game is super addictive I think this game has the most fun gameplay I've played in this game jam.
