Story

About one thousand years ago, a portal spawned in the middle of nowhere and the creatures from the portal were searching for Burritos, known as cores of all the planets. Creatures, known as demons from demon realm ate every Burrito they could find. Only Earth survived, because of the samurais that defended it. After 980 years, there was a massive demon invasion and barely anyone survived... For all we know, Nikola(MC) armed with katana, was left with the only thing that could defend the Burrito.... a crystal.

Tutorial

Protect Burrito which is in center of map and it's surrounded by four crystals which protect it. Demons first need to destroy all the crystals and they will target them if you don't touch them. After each round crystals regenerate. Collect souls dropped by the enemies and level up. After each level up you will gain one skill point.

Slick controls and straightforward gameplay! Music maybe is a bit repetitive and graphics a bit dark but overall very enjoyable.

Best graphics I've seen yet, definitely best storyline. Not sure what else to say about it ;P

The game feels really NICE to play, everything is super smooth. The one exception to that being the feeling of attacking. I can't quite put my finger on it so that's how minor my issues with it are. I also agree that the audio you have is great but could be a little more varied or at least staggered so it doesn't get repetitive

The artstyle is very cute :cat: and polished, And I had fun trying to protect both myself and the crystals which protected the burrito. And the controls were pretty fluid as well. It's really cool that you had time to do different enemies with different attacks and have a level up system with a skill upgrade menu.

Smooth controls. It's a bit repetitive maybe different kind of waves changing one after another might do the trick.

Hah. I died on wave 7, and then lost at wave 9. Good stuff - would've been nice if the dash move did damage (or did it? instead of just moving you around, as that seemed to be the only thing you were leveling up? Anyway, good work!

Had a lot of fun playing that one. Went to wave 9 but the game crashed =(. It was my second play. The balance of the upgrade could be a little better I only chose damage and went to level 9, haha. Overall, great job

This was very fun to play. i managed to get to wave 10 before the burrito was devoured by the demons. It has a very humorous premise, the gameplay feels solid and fun to play. I did find that the time it took for the player to respawn felt a bit too long and I don't think it should have been tied to the dash bar as I feel that's a bit too punishing for using the dash ability. I also believe that there should've been a game over screen as it was jarring to be kicked back to the menu screen after the burrito was destroyed. Other than those things I had a blast playing this game.

This was really impressive. I really liked the graphics, the music really set the tone, the controls were possibly the slickest I've played in LD so far(also really liked the camera shake with an attack- gives it some weight), and the dash was a great way to get around the map without making it trivial to get around.
Only thing I would like to say is it could do with some buyable upgrades between waves, but given this is LD and you managed to cram so much goodness in, it's not really a big deal.

Not a bad little game, interesting backstory to say the least. Gameplay was fluid and fairly intuitive, powerups could use some balancing. Put 8 points into attack strength and the difference felt negligible.

Cool stuff. The graphics are nice, music fits well to the tempo of the game. I like the idea and hellish look of the enemies. Thou shall not take my Burito!!! :sweat_smile:

LOL. I made it to wave 6. I like the pixel art, even the animations, also the sword swing. A nice entry, you could have played and rated more games :P
