​Gameplay

Construct buildings that give you buffs as you fight off spirits. Buildings need resources. Attack trees and rocks to get resources and bring them back to your construction site to get building. The further into the forest you go, the more and more spirits you will have to fight. Balance the fight of the dead and the gathering of resources to build the best possible town. There is no win state, only braking this unbalanced nightmare. Enjoy <3

Story

You are VooDoo Jack, a Witch-Doctor lumberjack who is trying to create a new civilization inside of a haunted forest (a Witch-Doctor Lumberjack's dream locale). The only thing stopping you is the army of evil spirits that are agitated by your arrival. You'll have to create buildings to support your endeavors and take down the evil spirits in order to build the greatest town the land has ever seen!​​

The game looks really beautiful!! It's an interesting idea, and a pretty well executed one! You did an amazing job for such a short time!! Sfx may need some tweaking. Contgrats!

Really cool game ! Graphics look good and the mechanic can be endless. I just had some difficulties predicting when attacks would hit or miss and the range of evil spirits.

Maybe some diversity would have been even better though. But a jam is only three days.

The audio was really quiet while some sound effects are very inconsistently loud.
I liked the idea, the graphics were nice and I enjoyed how you implemented the theme to the mechanics!

Nice game!
I really like the low poly graphics! In fact I prefer this style than the 3d photorealistic graphics of AAA games.
The gameplay look very interesting but maybe tone down the starting difficulty. Those spirits hit heavy and are many.
Couple with weird controls and it a blood bath !
Maybe update the game to use single attack key to attack in current facing direction instead of arrows keys.

Did anyone finish the game? Or survived a few rounds?

Nice idea, cool low poly concept, but I feel a lack of testing. (we had the same issue, and I get it this is LD, but still) The ghouls are coming too early and fast, the hitboxes are not clear, there are a lot of misses. I play a lot of games, and I could hardly keep up with the enemy while trying to collect resources.
