Loved the graphics, sound and mood. Will play some more :-)
I did like the large carrot though when it appeared. Was like a rare item or something. Good job!
The game progression speed is a bit slow and boredom sets in pretty quickly, so some more variations in enemies, obstacles and level layout would've been nice. Other than that, solid entry!
Sorry to nitpick, I think I do it because the rest of the game is so amazing! Great work!
Great entry! The core mechanic worked flawlessly and was as simple as it was effective. Slightly faster pacing would be welcome, as the game starts feeling a bit repetitive before new elements start appearing, but it's not super critical.
Loved the graphics and sound/music too, congrats!
1. The game-play is repetitive and slow, maybe it could be bit faster and maybe have some obstacle in the way?
2. Hit-box were big, you should be falling in the water but the hit-box prevent it.
3. Longer jump (as in air time) make it less challenging. So maybe jumps could be shorter.
The instructions didn't mention the double jump but it was fun.
In order to make it more difficult the speed could go up a bit gradually or include some enemy that flies across the screen from right to left.
Keep it up.
Good job!
I LOVE THE RABBIT!!! And his little eyepatch, it is so cute!
In my opinion, the only thing lacking is a bit steeper difficulty curve. Now it starts to feel repetitive after a while. Otherwise, overall VERY good job, well done!!
If you continue post compo, I'd suggest the carrots scroll the same speed as the level, and maybe start throwing in enemies / obstacles sooner, as it becomes a bit of a grind until the seagulls appear.
Some checkpoints would be nice.
The jump mechanicfeels really good for such a simple thing.
