Firstly I feel like rhythm games need some kind of underlying beat to keep you in time, not just pressing the buttons based on visual cues. The other is that I couldn't look at all the lovely graphics because I was focusing so much on the visual cues. I wonder if integrating them more into the graphics as a whole would help? I feel like the first issue also compounds this. I don't mean for this to sound harsh I really liked it and that's why I care :D","likes":2,"format":"md"},{"author_name":"RobotsAndMuffins","author_uid":"1039456","time":"2020-04-22T18:04:23Z","epoch":1587578663,"modified":1587578663,"text":"I really like this rithm games! Some advices to get the most of it:\n* Integrating the beats with the game visuals would be more engaging. You can do this by using a vertical music track (Guitar Hero style) instead of an horizontal one, overlaying the actual game. Also, it's more natural to understand, as ASDF would be laid out horizontally.\n* Having some background music to get a sense of the rythm.\n* Switching the instrument when pressing Space, not when it's pressed, to avoid the instrument change flicker.\n\nNonetheless, it's a great idea, great game and amazing visuals!","likes":3,"format":"md"},{"author_name":"marcusnystrand","author_uid":"1196098","time":"2020-04-22T18:10:05Z","epoch":1587579005,"modified":1587579005,"text":"wonderfully weird concept! nice aesthetics","likes":1,"format":"md"},{"author_name":"Delunado","author_uid":"1185694","time":"2020-04-22T18:10:25Z","epoch":1587579025,"modified":1587579025,"text":"Nice idea but not very good implementation. Namely - there's so much to keep tabs on. There's the notes, the incoming goblins, the knights, the queen, etc. If the notes matched up to some kind of background music better, then it'd be easier to take your focus off the track and onto the knights. Also, missing a note in most rhythm games gets you a quick alert you missed, but here it's this long jabrled note that's really unpleasant to listen to, and distracting enough where missing one makes you miss a few more - at least, that's my experience with it.\nThat said, I'm impressed you made something so in depth in such a short timeframe, and I think this has a lot of potential moving forward. Best of luck!","likes":1,"format":"md"},{"author_name":"Guntainment","author_uid":"1203092","time":"2020-04-22T18:20:13Z","epoch":1587579613,"modified":1587579613,"text":"Cool game. But then the game didn't quite work. I like the challenge of changing styles and instruments but there should be some sound signal to when I should change, having me to keep an eye on the notes that were coming and at the enemies at the same time kind that break the mood. Also, ear pull for the flickering when changing instruments, this felt like lack of play testing, the instrument should not keep switching back and forth the longer I hold space bar, it should change only once. And finally not quite relevant for the game but still, please learn some music notation, it bothered me A LOT to have those notes come out of me in a rhythm that makes no sense, and even worse there was a white note with a flag! That made me cry a bit inside.\nThe game have a lot of potential, I would love to see more of it if you guys intend on polishing it further. \n\n","likes":1,"format":"md"},{"author_name":"Sigton","author_uid":"1124582","time":"2020-04-22T18:26:33Z","epoch":1587579993,"modified":1587579993,"text":"It was well polished, it looked and sounded great!\n\nMy main criticism is that it was really hard to see how my playing was influencing the effectiveness of my soldiers. I didn't notice that my queen was about to die until she was already dead...
