Hey nice game! The premise is easy to pick up and the game play has a good level of challenge. I wish the jumping was more solid though, it can sometimes feel hard to jump between platforms.

I got to play and lose. My tree burnt to a crisp! I also played and WON bruh-hahaha. I enjoyed the smooth look of the graphics, and the pleasant tunes. :D I thought the water mechanic was nice i had to not grab ALL the water bubbles because i would just murder my poor sapling. :-D The jumping felt a little too floating, maybe a bit more gravity, but i'm a terrible judge on this considering my own game with jumping is too airy too. xD Great work!

Small game, but with neat concept. I wish there were an infinite game mode.

Really cool concept, and I had a nice playful moment with my kid :) Thanks for that. Who would have thought he was into firemen? Sometimes it's not so obvious that collecting some water will loose you the game. I think this mechanic is a bit punishing, and clashing with the general mood of the game. But it's still really fun overall! Well done <3

Great work! Very cute audio and graphics - I like the animations of the water, and the spring stretch of the tree growth. I encountered some issues with jumping both in the web and DL Windows version.. and then looked at your code to try and find the bug. The code is beautiful! No luck finding the bug though. Great entry for LD46, with an excellent take on the theme with the unique take on the game rules/mechanic (sharing the water with the tree).

I liked the gameplay and overall feel. It was definitely very simple, but it was clean and easy to understand. Some suggestions:

-It would make sense if you can water the plants yourself after collecting water. Also maybe don't let the player collect water when he's full.

-The player jump is really floating. Some more gravity would help

-UI seemed to go outside the edges on HTML. Changing the resolution settings should fix this

Overall solid jam game.

Jump was too low for me on web and windows versions. I won twice and lost twice. Great music!

Pros:
- Clean gameplay, that reminds of old school NES games
- Difficulty increases naturally as the tree grows, which is pretty creative
- Nice progress indication by visually changing the tree.

Const:
- Had to experiment to find out conditions of game over

Overall really nice game, that fits the theme well. There are a bunch of bugs, but none of the significant ones. I really like how the tree is in the middle of attention and is both a way to increase difficulty and communicate current progress.

I really enjoyed how the tree grew and looked over time :) it was a little frustrating losing because of the random nature of the spawns. I think i got 4 fires in a row without any water?

Nice and simple, which i think is good for a jam game. Its easy to understand and its quite fun. The jumping is a little bit off, but it didnt ruin the experience. Good job!

The game instantly reminded me Mario Bros (the one with pipes, crabs and cooperative mode). It plays smoothly. I like the way the tree obscures the vision. And the music fits well. Great game! :)

A cool little Game.

Had a lot of fun playing it.
My only "critics" are that it's hard to keep the tree alive after it grows to a certain stage and a bit too random.

But keep going was a nice Game. Pretty cool Had fun

Good game! You jump WAY too high for the game to be playable... The music is fine as well as the graphics.

I had fun playing the game! Not always easy to use the jump control, but after a few minutes I understood how to use it well. I really like the concept, and chill sound. Good job, guys! :v:

Very nice! Relaxing music, nice graphics, and dead trees :)
I suspect other people can keep the tree alive, I haven't managed it for very long yet :)

You already saw me play it but I still want to comment here as well: It's a very fun game with clear mechanics and strong arcade vibes (and you kno9w how much I enjoy those) and thankfully not too hard for me. The jumping felt a little too floaty for my taste but that's highly subjective. Here's my stream from last week featuring the game:
