For me, the game doesn't fit the theme (unless I missed something).

BUT, it's really perfect.
The graphics are polished, the gameplay is very nice and relaxing. It's very satisfying to fish and use the arrow system.
The music is soft and relaxing.

Great Job

I gotta say, if you made all the assets yourself in 48 hours, this is a very impressive piece of work. What I miss is the theme, I can't really connect your game to it. Sounds and music are amazing and the mood you are trying to get across is also nice.

I couldn't fish. Nice aesthetics and mood though.

Just want to repeat everyone else and say that that aesthetics, visual integrity and mood are great.

Also
"Fish weight: 80 kg"
"Fish size: Medium"

That cracked me up.

@simonbeats spent almost all the 2day on blender and modeling as you can see really cheap animations and models and didnt have much time to finish scripting the game it self and i used base code i had for movment somebasic stuff like menu so i dont count these
and tbh i didnt like the them that much because almost every game is like that so i wanted just to do the idea i have in my mind
thanks for the feedback

I really like that game, and spend way to much with that :D I love music and graphics.

Excellent visual presentation. Gameplay loop is a little bit monotonous, but well implemented. I like how smoothly the beginning tutorial is handled.

The fishing minigame is kind of infuriating because the directions follow neither a rhythm or the direction the fish is moving in.

I was a little confused by the controls - "S" went forwards for the rower :D Some visual indicator (flashing / change to red etc) when the arrows in the fishing QTE were about to expire would have been nice.

Otherwise a fun relaxing game, nice work!

Nice and relaxing atmosphere! Catching the fish is realy fun! I just don´t like, that the fisherman is facing the wrong direction. :)

Very relaxing and peaceful, maybe some actions take a bit too long, but I like your approach to fishing :)

Great little game. I love upgrades, so it kept me playing a half a hour.
Nice job, love the graphics, the relaxing music, and as I said, above all, the upgrades.
What made me stop before I could get all upgrades was how slow it is to start fishing once you press F. I would greatly increase that time.
Really awesome job!

Amazing game!

Some feedback:

* Great art style and mood!
* Boat controls are good.
* During the fishing minigame, the arrows disappear too fast. Sometimes by the time I press a key there's another one already.
* Also, sometimes the arrows get behind the seagulls and you cannot see them.
* Controls are a bit laggy in the minigame.
* I have mixed feelings about the minigame for catching a fish. On one hand, it contrast with the idea of a relaxing game. You're sitting in the boat, listening to a relaxed music and the sounds of the seagulls and then you're typing really fast to get the fish. It feels odd. But on the other hand, it does feel like actual fishing :)
* The UI is great, but the text is not readable enough. Maybe because of the color palette.
* The theme is a little underused, but it's ok (same happened to me)
* I bought the equipment for other fishermen, but they never show up. How long does it take to start seeing earnings from them?
* You should change the music during the fishing minigame.

Overall, I love the idea. If you polish it a little more and implement some additional features, you'll end up with a really good commercial game

Congrats!

I loved the minimalist graphics and the ambiance given by the sounds. Very relaxing. I don't have much in the way of feedback and you get a nice fat high rating from me :) but I'm going to note three nitpicks that, were they polished, would make me probably buy this game to play and relax!

1) The background music gets a bit repetitive. Since this is a relaxing game one might want to play for quite a while, it probably needs more variation, some periods with no music, some round robin tracks.
2) There's no save function, at least on web. Maybe it's there in the desktop version? I can't really invest a lot of time into this because I have to start from scratch every time :(
3) the sound effects don't really mesh with the calm ambiance given by everything else. I feel like I'd like more realistic sfx, maybe cc0 stuff from freesounds or something along those lines.

Very different game and I like that. The music and sound effects were great and I can honestly see something like this on steam in the future. It's very serene and has a nice mood to it, a good break from the other games.

I'm just very impressed how quickly you created all the models for this game, I don't think I would ever be able to finish anything like this as fast.

I really liked the mini-game of catching the fish via the arrows but it would be better if the fish didn't swim off screen as I'm trying to catch them (I couldn't see the bottom arrow when this happened).

Overall though, it was a treat to play, well done.

I absolutely love this game! I'd really like to see it taken further in the future. I can only echo the above praise. The only criticism I have is that your fish size labels: a fish 50kg fish is not small haha! I literally only stopped playing this because I had a work meeting (which I nearly missed because of this game).

Delightful atmosphere, very chill. I would suggest changing the sound that the fish catching QTE makes. The harsh beeping is a little jarring amongst the relaxing soundtrack.

Great job!

Gorgeous game! I love the art style and the feeling of this tiny world. It's a very chilled game. The only 'not so chilly' thing was the sound when you actually try to get the fish. Otherwise awesome game! Keep it up!

I can't believe this took only 3 days :exclamation: really great mood. the rowing animaton is mirrored somehow, like if the moonwalk was performed by a fisherboat and forwads  Oh and it has good depth with the upgrade system. Well done.

Nice game, has a great mood, graphics and the audio is ok. Gameplay feels smooth too, but I feel that the main mechanic in the game which is fishing feels a bit dull and the arrows changing in the last second is kind of a bummer, would be more fun if it was similar to stardew valley fishing for example, feels more like the real thing where it's more of a matter of pulling the right amount to not let the line break, feeling the fish fighting and all.

Other than that it's really cool but just lacks depth (ironically), maybe the concept was a little bold for a jam, but it would really improve a million if you had more juiceness like, showing visually the different fishes caught, collecting, a better laid out story and all.

Overall nice job man

Dang, really well made gamejam game! I love these relaxing kinds of game and sat quite a while playing this. Great colors, graphic, mood, sound.. :) If only there was some kind of rhythm or indication of when the arrows would change when fishing it'd be very nice!

Great graphics! Very calming game to play. Sadly it has some small bugs with the boat (sometimes it appears to shiver or partly be submerged), but that is forgiven seeing the amount of work you must have put in making this game. Absolutely amazing how you got this in just 48 hours.
One thing tho, sometimes the arrow which you have to press to catch the fish changes slightly to quick for such a calming game

Thank for the game :)
It is super relaxing to just listen to the music and row in this beautiful low poly world. Also I am a big fan of your UI style, so smooth and balanced.
Wish you the best of luck!

Fantastic visuals and overall mood! The upgrades seemed to have a lot of depth too. I ran into an issue where the instructions for pressing the arrow keys to catch a fish kept popping up, stopping me from catching the first fish for a while. Eventually worked though.
