Fun game!

I really like it, it has a pretty nice concept!

The art looks nice, but it could use some animations!

And the game would be better with sound effects and some music,

but overall, pretty good game!

Nice labyrinth. I recognized the asset for unity project but it's a nice choice to fit with your gameplay. Maybe you could add more about the story, about how the character feels after each day during the transition and some animations and SFX. But overall, it's simple and nice.

Nice game, there are many games using the same gameplay loop, this one gave me the best feelings soo far. Some notes: i found out movement a little off. It was easy to miss. Also, does carring logs do anything besides of making really big fire? It seems that gameplay wise it does not do soo much.

I'm afraid I did not quite get this game. What are the fires and the wood logs for? They don't seem to be necessary to progress in the game?

Simple but working gameplay. Nice sprites.
At the fifth level, fire flared up to the entire level :)![Снимок экрана (842).png](///raw/101/21/z/327c8.png)

Very interesting game concept is good love the sprites and the lighting!

First things first: I had fun playing it!

Core idea is very solid! Wandering around trying to find an exit, backtracking and collecting ressource so you don't die. This could make a great game (kind of "dont starve" inspired)

Sadly the game in this state is a bit monotone. Every level is same, just bigger. With more hazards this could be a really great game.

I like the concept of keeping the fire alive. I felt the panic when my fire faded and I had to blindly get myself out of the darkness.
I also like how the game looks, nice sprites, lighting and animation.
But i didnt find the game very fun

Really liked the graphics

Some small things to change that would make a big difference imo
- Have the player face in the direction you're moving (i.e. they only look right despite you moving left)
- Small sound effects
- Some story

Well done - awesome entry!

The art is very nice, the gameplay is innovative and it's moody as hell! I like it!

This game is pretty good, although next time you should probably make your own art

I like the lighting effect! It gave the game a nice ambience. I think that more in the way of instructions would be useful; it was hard to tell what I was being asked to accomplish.

Nice little game. The graphics a cool even though it'd be nice to have more animations.
I was curious, are the levels generated ?

Like the graphics and the light system.
But was very hard to find out what the game is about. Until it was to late and I died.
Also I still don't know, why there are logs that make the fire bigger.
After a few levels it got boring, because there are no new mechanics.

Cool game, shares some similarities with my own game actually! I really like the idea the controls feels a little bit slow though. But great entry

Cool idea. I think the game should feel more "urgent".

Nice game, looking for an exit while keeping a fire alive is a nice idea. Sound would have really been nice. And I'm not sure if my fire was really getting smaller...

Thanks for the feedback so far.
Being my first game, it ended up more as a proof-of-concept game needing a lot of polish (audio, custom sprites etc).

@risist @niklasriewald @guntainment the 'hidden' mechanics are:
* your fire dies out with time and you eventually die;
* you can recharge at small fires to a set level and at the bonfire to a bigger level
* how much the bonfire recharges you depends on how many logs you fed it

In testing I tried to adjust the maze sizes so that the game isn't too long (hence boring) and hints at the mechanics for a brief 'aha' moment.

@omicron glad you liked the giant fire :) left it in just cuz it looks silly :D

@postmeridiangames yes, the levels are generated using a modified randomized Prim's algorithm
