Crash landed without enough energy to make it home? Hordes of bug creatures coming to eat you? Rely on your trusty StarShip Hamster! Fire your turret with MOUSE CLICK, or hit a blast radius attack with SPACE to fend off your enemies. These will reduce his health though, so be sure to keep Hammy alive with all these cabbages lying around!

Do I even wanna play a game about a starship hamster?!? YES, yes you do. :)

Played for much longer than I thought I would! I love the art style and aesthetic, but walking around on foot was quite difficult and janky.

This is a lot of fun to play! To be honest, space hamsters themselves make this game worth playing, but also the rest is amazing!

Movement is way too slidy and it feels like i'm aiming with jello. Voice acting was good and the give/take of the attacking was nice

This is so cool^^ I really like the Idea and even sat in the title screen for about 5 minutes just because the hamster is soo cute^^
The only thing i would maybe improve is to let the enemies despawn a bit quicker cause i had various situations in the webplayer where it was impossible to decide wether an enemy was dead or alive.

Aiming feels a little weird but other than that really solid and cute game!

Great music and assets, though the smoothing on the turret rotation seemed a bit excessive. Overall, really enjoyable!

Voice acting was quite funny! I like the concept, definitely needs work as far as control and camera are concerned. If a bug was attacking my turret, I could not shoot him back! I like it, nice sounds and idea :)

This is so cute, i love the enemy design and voices. It was a bit hard to aim the turret and see where it was firing exactly. Maybe pulling the camera a little back or right would help?

@scalliondelight @aditon press space to use the radial blast, but be aware, it costs health!

Great job, the game looks amazing and the audio was cool. Overall the feel of the shooting was great. My only complaint was the camera got a bit wild while I was running on foot. It wasn't a huge issue just needed some tweaking. I completed it on the second try, once I got the hang of the controls. Congrats on a successful jam!

I love the graphics and the concept is really funny, but I am really bad at this kind of game, I died at the third wave ^^"
Even if it is not my favorite genre, the execution is really good, well done!

The game is pretty well done but for me leaving the turret was a pain in the ass to to the bad player movement. Despite that, it's a complete small game with good music, lovely characters and art.

This was the first third person game I've played from this jam so far :) Good game, only made it to round 3. I wish that we had a mouse sensitivity setting, I had to move my mouse a lot to turn around.

It would have been nice if the shooting had more umph to it. It was almost hard to tell if you were shooting at all. The area pushback attack was good. The hamster was adorable.
The help text probably should be bigger or have an outline so you can read it easier.

The game is pretty funny and I like the concept! The turret is well done and the graphics nice. I think the cannon could use a little more fire power and the aim felt quite smoothed out. Other then that I enjoyed it, good job :)

Victory! It was fun shooting at the bugs and running around collecting cabbages, while keeping an eye on my friend. Mouse controls could be tighter, they felt a bit flowey and not precise.

The game was pretty fun! I liked how you had to get out and return the bullets. Even though the controls were a bit clunky it was a good experience

Fun and cute little game :)

Pleasing to play, I just have few feedback. Having the turret a slow movement is great, as it gives a big sensation of moving something heavy, but I found it strange to apply the same camera movement to the player.
I loved the small voices you added when new round start, you take damage etc, it gives life to the game !

Very good submission !

I love this concept! The idea of keeping your StarShip Hamster alive is very creative and unique. Together with the great graphics and the voice lines it really sets the mood to protect Hammy :) Well done!

That was a great game! Nice and cute idea, a hamster as a power supply that at the sam time you have to keep alive had me smile. awesome graphics (you were the one with the grass tutorial, right? :)) and the mechanics were really clever. at first I thought like "okay, a blast, why wouldn't I use that all the time, how OP" but then I realized it is just a stun as an emergency measure, you still need to kill them to obtain the food for hammy!" sweet.
The only thing that felt a bit off to me was looking around with the mouse while running around, felt a bit weird, like the mouse wasn't properly reacting or like the angle was super slow? Idk if it as just me, but that kinda rubbed me the wrong way and had me slightly annoyed, especially when trying to make a U turn it was a bit frustrating.
I feel like this could turn into a really great and funny game with more mechanics as you progress (like for example one level where you have to move the whole thing but from time to time have to stop to, you know, feed hammy, but you also to be quick because behind you is something you have to escape from "maybe a horde of those damn flies" btw the flies nice voices made me laugh lol.

all in all a very decent entry, you can be proud of yourself, I enjoyed playing it :)

The game was great, but it was repetitive and if the enemies got to your turret there was a bug where you can't shoot them.
🎤 Maytch
25. Apr 2020 · 06:28 UTC
@g-a-gamestudio It wasn't a bug as such, you need to use your radial blast to knock them back! It uses more of Hammy's health though so not something you should use often.

Nice graphics! The audio was pretty good. The game needed a tutorial, but I know the game was made by 2 people in 72 hours(A lot done in 72 hours by 2 people). The death was kind of boring(I like death animations). Over all good job, and keep making games!

This one brought a smile to my face :) It's a fun way to hit the theme, and a fun game to play as well! I very much appreciate the menu for audio and mouse sensitivity, that's a big deal when the main mechanic relies heavily on spinning a turrent. Also, I'm not sure if it was intentionally over-driven physics, but I loved that some shots would just totally launch the enemies/cabbages into orbit. The art and music were very solid! I especially liked the grass. Thank you for sharing this game!

Played this on the first day of the jam and was absolutely amazed not only by the graphics but the sound design, too (...and the ragdolls, everybody loves ragdolls :D). Really love the alternating between turret mode and on-foot mode and how they both have their reason for being in this game. Thank you for this pleasurable, pretty game!

The turret controls were a bit floaty, though that might have been deliberate to make it a bit harder to aim. I love the concept - and the character animations!
