Cactus Adventure by Tamas Turi

About

Accompany Pedro the lost cactus to the reserve. Pedro has to make his journey under the cover of darkness while monsters are hunting him. Don’t worry because with his special ability Pedro is able to create daylight out of darkness. Be aware as his ability doesn't last forever. If you use it frequently to eliminate your enemies, you will consume more energy. Fortunately, the track hides such energy that helps Pedro to recharge.

Guide him along the way to his friends and take down the monsters! Heal yourself in the daylight phase.

Very nice cute game. The idea with switching the setting is very nice. Art 5/5 and cool audio. Gameplay nicely done. Good game!

I really love the art style! The only thing that is mocking me is the controlls. Punching with the E key does not really work for me, while walking with A and D. Maybe switching it to the Mouse Click might help. Still 5 Stars worth!

Really cool art. Game seems to work great. Also cracked a laugh at the day time phase animations and music. Title screen gives a good feel (And reminds me of freddi fish for some reason lol). Don't really have any criticism =).

Awesome art and lovely animation! The first time I made daytime really made me laugh. The game itself feels a bit easy but the atmosphere is just great.

Név alapján én tudom hogy te magyar vagy és így is fogod érteni amit mondok. szuper a játékod! Csak lehetett volna jobban ragaszkodni a témához. Ez a Zsuzsa az nagyon jól rajzol!

Tamás Just in case you don't speak Hungarian here's the translation:
By name I know that you are Hungarian and you will understand what I say. your game is super! I just could have stuck to the theme better. This Zsuzsa draws very well!

Lovely art style, the music sets a nice mood, but I have a problem with the controls, while keeping my fingers on A,D and E I can't exactly reach tab to change the day

Love the daytime samba! The art is amazing too, great job. It would be nice to have the attack button be different than the recharging one, as now if you're next to the glowy orb and there's an enemy, the cactus just tries to recharge.

What is this art? Certainly the best part this game! I loved the concept too. Need to improve something in controls and balance. Keep with this project, please!

*daylight dance starts* 5/5.

Controls were admittedly wonky, but I was charmed, instantly.

Thank you very much for all your feedback! We are glad that you liked our game.
The controls and the balance really need to be improved in the game. :)

@guladam Köszönjük! :))

@beavergames Köszönjük, valóban lehetett volna jobban ragaszkodni a témához. :)

@mrowka You are right, the controls are a bit difficult with this layout, you can move the character with the arrow keys as well

@arzi You're absolutely right, we should have put it on another button

I liked the day/night cycle, and it was cool that it could be used to heal or destroy enemies (at a higher cost). I would have probably have preferred for the solar balls to be faster or instant pickups to keep the pace going, and for the whole game to move faster than it already does. The controls are a little "floaty", gravity probably needed to be a bit greater so that it produced more natural looking jumps.

I liked all the details, it is polished and well handled, the style of art I really like, it is well adapted to the music, generally speaking of the atmosphere, the recharge of the fist is fine, but it would give a little more balance to the blow to kill to the enemies at the beginning and then they go away making it more difficult to kill it would add more flavor to the game, excellent work!!
