Build up your clout from nothing and become Sneeter Famous in this roguelike social media simulator.

Sneeter.com has very refined tastes, and every run you need to find out what they are by Sneeting into the abyss. Do they like dogs? Do they like cats? The only way to find out is to Sneet about it. If you make a good Sneet, then you get clout. And if you make a bad Sneet, well...

You'll just have to find out (actually though you just lose HP).

How to play:

  • Use the mouse to click on things!
  • Each runthrough, people will like and dislike different things. It's up to you to find out what based on the reactions you get and use that to increase your clout.
  • Build Sneets by collecting templates and words to put into the templates, whether using ones you get for free in the mail, or using ones you steal from other peoples' Sneets.
  • Attack determines how much clout you get, Defense determines how much damage you take when you make a bad Sneet, and HP determines how much HP you start with.

Known issues:

  • If you die the UI freezes up and you can't click anything. Though this is a proper recreation of what happens when you die it is not intentional.
  • If you go to make a Sneet but don't have the proper phrases/words to complete the Sneet, you'll be stuck there forever.
  • Sometimes you'll make a Sneet so bad it kills you in one hit. You are not supposed to take that much damage at once.

Edit1: Fixed a bug that would not let you click on literally anything so thank god that's fixed am I right gamers

I'm not sure I entirely understood what I was doing, but I just played this for like 15 minutes. It's very entertaining and cute. I probably would have kept going except I ran into a situation where I couldn't compose a sneet with the templates/words I had, and I couldn't find a way to back out if it. 😅

This game was hilarious! Loved the concept and art. Fits this theme and also reminds me thematically of LD41's "two incompatible genres" theme.

But i think parody and humour are most important aspects of the game

Telling people "I like horses" was the last straw that took me down. The UI design and color palette is top notch. Really cool idea happening here, will keep an eye on this if you decide to continue with it!

Combining RPG mechanics with a social media simulation (and a bit of metacommentary) is a really clever idea, and you did it well! I love the aesthetics, too. It would be nice to have some background music, though (or is it just not playing in my browser?).

Definitely would really be great with a nice music. But however, the game is pretty fun and the sneets we come up with are really hilarious sometimes.

I don't get the score system tho but who cares, sandals with socks must learn to put on socks! That's important !

I can't believe this game, it's so good!! First off, it's adorable, I love games that have you playing on a computer or phone screen, and you nailed it, the colors are great, I loved having a clout stat and playing as a clown. I probably have 7 or 8 screenshots of this on my desktop? This is my favorite interpretation of the theme, too! You guys did a really great job!

Really cute esthetics and color palette. Game would really shine if there was music in it. Kept playing for 15 minutes without undrstanding how you get the points, but this is how social media works, right?, until i understood.

Ah, sweet 2010's when people are coming up with the craziest ideas just to stand out in those tens of thousand games that people create everyday all over the internet.
I have three words for you: Absolutely love it!

It's crazy, it's funny, it's actually good, well thought, original, cute, the has it all. You guys deserve to be at least top 50 in this jam.

Very inventive and unexpected entry! Graphics are funny but make the UI a bit confusing with the all-pink color palette and thick borders. Quite fun game at first, although I am not sure if I need to remember the names of all sneeters over rounds or not? Otherwise how can I guess at each round? I mostly played randomly without really understanding what I was doing, which kills the fun after a few rounds of reading the hilarious variations.

What a fun game! Only tiny thing I disliked was the way the whole screen shaked after clicking/typing, it was a bit harsh/sudden movement and personally I found it distracting, especially when making a new account. I got to 1mil+ during my first play, but cancelling insurance policies killed me soon after. I liked waiting until I had their favourite thing twice and using both (I'm not sure how many things they liked/disliked each time?, one time I would swear they only truly cared for cowboys and skateboards :D), though sometimes it was a bit hard to guess what exactly they disliked, I suppose that's part of the experience! I liked the simple colors, the idea and the writing. The texts before you started putting together your next Sneet were funny. (Maybe it would work better without articles? It wouldn't make for organic-sounding text either, you'd still have to have singular and plural versions for every template, but it could be a little smoother.) The preset usernames and icons were a nice detail as well!
Oh, and is "vibe check!" template a positive or negative one? Or is it just "neutral"?

Amazing GUI! I loved the concept of mindlessly riding the wave of popular opinion to try to capture some fame. I wish there was an easier way to bank topics. Seems like a ran out pretty quickly. I think if the gameplay worked like it's supposed to, it would be a really fun game. Nice work!

Very fun game! ~~Some of the sneets I sneeted were totally things I would tweet~~.
The combinations got a bit stale late-game once it seemed as though I'd seen everything, and some of the grammar didn't match up right- (like Vibe check (hits you with a _____) when most of the nouns were plurals), but that's to be expected in random generation.

Still, I was pleasantly surprised with how much fun I had, and it looked very nice!

Cool game with cute graphics and animations but sometimes the UI is not very readable (white on bright pink).
Also some sounds could have been super cool !
I got stuck because I hadn't the proper type of words to fit the gaps.
Nice entry overall :smile:

The look of the game was great but the gameplay was hard to grok at first. Too many things thrown at the player. I likely would have played more but I ran into the `If you go to make a Sneet but don’t have the proper phrases/words to complete the Sneet, you’ll be stuck there forever.` - its a real game breaking problem that it seems alot of people are running into and would be the first thing i'd fix post release.

This game is absolutely hilarious. I love the random combinations you can get as you try to game the system into becoming Sneeter Famous. Fantastic work, and the visuals are great! I wish there was a little more feedback on what was going on (ie some of my posts would get a lot of comments, which I assume is damage, but wouldn't hurt me?) but overall I really liked it. Great work!
