Music - A+
I thought about Stranger Things for a moment.
very nice graphics and sound
Number three in the world baybee! I'm putting that on my tombstone.

Combat system is easy and fun. I think a defense or avoid bullets system is missing.
The enemies dancing in the end made me laugh. Great job!
Good entry.
Cheers!
Fascinating entry! (I also loved the enemies dancing, btw!)
Many good things to say here - great visuals and sounds, and an engaging gameplay in spite of the repetitiveness. However, the physics around the corners were hard to comprehend, and walking/running as the only movement decisions are a bit limiting (or did I miss something? perhaps I could block bullets with boxes?). I think I also couldn't hide the high scores menu at some point until I restarted.
But I'm saving the best for last: did anyone notice enemies breakdancing after they kill you? xD
As was mentioned in the comments, the slowdown on the corners feels a bit unfair, since you cannot run back, you are almost forced to get shot on the corners.
The leaderboards are a great touch. On my last playthrough they didn't show, even though the game told me I was 6th on the world.
Music was great! I felt totally immersed in the game.
The gameplay gets frantic fast, but that isn't a problem. Many bullet hell games get away with it and even market it as a feature.
You could perhaps add a small indicator where the box is going to land, or maybe a trajectory. That would simplify understanding how the box moves when you release it.
I loved playing this, thank you for your submission! :slight_smile:
The leaderboard is a great idea, would have liked to be able to enter my name in though (or did I miss something?)
For a single person project, this was still very impressive. The fetching and throwing of the crates was fun! It lacks variation but that's ok for the small scope you worked in. Godd job!
Here are my feedback:
_Positive points
- Nice character animations
- The telekinesis power is really satisfying when throwing the cube
- Good sound design
- Great graphics
_Negative points
- The telekinesis power is often too imprecise for me => Suggestion: I think that if you add an aim cursor, it will improve the precision of the throwing
- The cape goes often through the character
Overall: gg for your work!
Nice art and atmosphere. The sounds fit perfectly.
Top 10 in the world!
Interesting idea. Movement controls are a little weird. I pretty much just ran forward the whole time. I liked running around the screen, that was a neat idea. Picking up and throwing the blocks was neat too. Displaying "You're now number X in the world" was a nice motivator to keep playing and see how high I could rank. I didn't quit mid game, but there wasn't enough there to have me try more than once (once figuring out movement).
Good job!
The graphics were great tho, and you managed the theme quite well
Controls had some issues too. Like there was no downside at all for running so you never actually needed the walk. So you just forced your players to keep holding one button down 100% of the time. The picking up boxes was glitching too, quite often it just didn't register from some box positions and had to switch to another one. Binding grab and throw to different buttons was pointless. It was almost like a platformer which would change the jump button after each consecutive jump. And it was especially bad playing on a laptop touchpad where there is no physical right mouse button. Obviously that's my fault too for trying to play games without a proper mouse.
I think this is the best I can do without a mouse at least...

Oh and Mac version indeed did require the following before the actual app wanted to start up:
````
chmod +x Frozen\ Potency\ for\ Mac.app/Contents/MacOS/LD47
```
The game looked good. The serious gritty graphics didn't quite fit the goofy theme of screen edge walking and silly physics though. And I guess they were just some already existing assets also. And the UI things looked quite sloppy with the default font and so on. The fog was a bit too strong, couldn't even see half of the enemies. The sounds were good too but got kinda out of hand when there was tons on enemies on the screen.
Getting around corners felt like a slog. It was quite often just a coin flip whether or not you're gonna make it or die trying. Didn't seem like there was that much strategy really. Just always keep the run button held and do small steps forward while grabbing the boxes and hurling them towards the enemy masses. The aiming was also hugely affected by RNG too since the boxes bounced around uncontrollably so it was completely up to luck whether the box knock out few guys or none at all.
Anyways, good job! :thumbsup:
+original idea of running around the screen
-mood seemed to clash with the humor: graphics and music tell me this is a serious game, while the scoreboard and soldiers dancing gangnam style point to a more funny experience.
Nice work!
Highscore definitely kept me playing longer, great idea! Gonna steal that for sure ;)
Cheers!
The global leaderboard is a nice touch.
I loved the idea of walking around the screen and the cloak made it even more fun to observe. However, the movement really just came down to holding Shift and W at all times - once I got the hang of the game, I saw really no reason not to just sprint all the time.
I would love some bit of lore about the world at the start. Who am I? Why is the Amalgamate so intent on killing me?
I noticed some quirks/bugs:
- My character sometimes just teleported form the middle of the screen to the edge. That was only happening on the lower edge.
- Sometimes the character would seem to have some trouble getting over the corners on the screen.
- Seems like some global highscores were supposed to be displaying, but they weren't. And clicking on the highscores button did nothing.
- I also had no "replay" button or anything like that, so to try again I just had to restart the game. I'm not sure if that's by design (no time to implement such a button) or if I stumbled upon a bug.
I was very confused at first, and getting shot before the I'd even parsed all the instructional text. So I hit the move key to dodge while I read, but this made it all disappear. I quit and restarted to read, so not really a big deal.
I'm not quite sure if I ever played how I was meant to. I just held down walk+sprint forever, and then left-clicked a box, charged up a powerthrow w/ right click, and then threw it at the guys. I wasn't really sure if I was supposed to also be deflecting their shots or moving in a more complex way, but that strat seemed to work.
It was a little repetitive after a while like that, but it definitely had a very cool mood/vibe and a really unique gameplay.
