Loopomotive by JPiolho

Welcome to Loopomotive, a game where you control a train that never stops!
Your goal is to not hit any cars while stuck in the loop. You can accelerate or slow down the train, but never stop it.
You continue to the next level when a pre-determined number of cars has made their way safely out of the screen. You can follow the countdown on the top-right corner. You lose once you hit a car.
The game has 3 levels, so try to make it until the end!
W or ↑ - Accelerate
S or ↓ - Slow down
We hope you enjoy the game.

Well done!
Did you try speeding up the game? Levels take a bit long to finish, but I think it might be too hard if you make the cars go faster.
Art looks great. Always love some vector graphics :) I could swear I saw faces in some of the levels. And the song... Fits so well.
Btw. Why do you apply gravity after hitting car?
Cheers!
Very nice entry anyway, the sloths are very cute <3
Simple but effective gameplay and it's not that simple.
The levels are a bit too long (too many cars)
Kudos for the graphics. Cool characters and consistent style.
P.S. We've discussed a looping train idea with our team, but eventually decided to skip it, since don't have an artist this time :)
I like the idea a lot, and it's very well polished! Feels like a complete game. The art style is sweet. Well done!
I love the art style! Good job!
The controls are simple.
The art is consistent and well done.
It feels nicely polished!
Overall, very well done.
I would say this is the most polished game I've played for LD47 so far. Huge congrats :raised_hands:
The art, animations, and smoothness of gameplay are on point. I loved the sound as well.
The goal is clear, everything is very understandable, and the feeling of progression is nice.
I really liked the idea of the train's speed dropping when you don't push a button, forcing you to always be active and not just look for the perfect speed and position and do nothing until the end.
I didn't like the right entry of the first level. It felt to random and I just rushed through it hoping nothing would come. I think it is placed to close to the track.
The 2nd and 3rd levels are awesome, but the number of cars needed to win is a bit too much for me.
Thanks a lot for the game I had fun 💕
Everything is polished to the max - the art style, the logo, win/loss/credits screens, train horn music, fluid gameplay, little sloth hiding behind a tree... Just wow!
Very nice audio also !
nice job
The art and UI is SO polished and I love the tiny sloth peeking out of the tree :)
congrats!!
I got bored before each level ended, but I kept going to see what each level would look like.
Would love to see how it plays with a higher top speed. Maybe even 5x what it is now. And when it approaches the top speed it should shake and rumble and throws sparks as it turns corners. That would be thrilling. Then make the brakes better to balance it out.
Finally I would tied the win condition to a set number of laps rather than number of cars. To encourage people to go faster and take risks. Encouraging them to play the game in a way that is more fun. Just my 2c.
I specially loved the weird music style. Is there any place where I can hear more from you?
