I love the idea of a single-player game where you control a horde one unit at a time. The crayon-like visuals are charming and delightfully squishy-looking, and the feeling of nailing an infection and seeing a new pool of replicated viruses emerge is very gratifying. Unstable though it may be, I'm in awe that you managed to include a step-by-step tutorial in a jam game.\n\nAs you mentioned, I ran into quite a few bugs, some of which ended a run, and some of which were just confusing, like a simultaneous Success\/Failure state. In fact, I think a post-jam version of this game would benefit from a lot more information--individual health bars for the bacteria, some sort of outline around your controlled virus, an ever-present count of how many viruses you have left, etc. Maybe even a visual cue if you're working with an evolved virus. I couldn't evolve enough to make it to the end, but I would play the hell out of an extended version of this game, with other varieties of viruses and bacteria. Could be a great educational game, too.
