Description

The magical UwU Flame needs your help! Protect her from dangers! Gather fuel to make her burn bright! Kill her prettier friends to increase her self esteem? Every second counts in this flurry of minigames.

Design

During the brainstorming session at the start of this Jam, we had had plenty of ideas. One of them involved protecting a fire from hazards, or collecting fuel to keep a fire going in the dead of night. Both of those felt a bit dark in tone however. But how do you turn 'keeping a fire going in the dead of night' into something lighthearted and fun?

Meet UwU Flame!!

(We are sorry btw)

Those of you who have played any of the WarioWare games might recognize the game style we were going for. A quick succession of minigames with a fast pace that keeps some objective going in the intermediate screen. Naturally with a team of 2 and a deadline of 3 days we didn't manage to make it quite as polished as Nintendo did.

Nevertheless, we hope you enjoy our LudumDare46 submission.

Awesome game. My 2 favorite ones - with umbrella and with axe. Umbrella really nice mechanics.

Fun mini games with good rythm. The font used isn't always legible tho but it's still ok. Well done!

Umbrella part was the best one! Nice collection. Not a great fan of the UwU-style, though. But that is only a personal preference.

Thought this was a really cool idea actually - a bunch of small minigame warioware-esque action bits linked by the theme. Some really inventive games in there as well.

There were a couple where the controls felt a little bit awkward (the one with the firemen for example) - but these would be really easily tuned.

uwu chan should be proud, I managed to win 11 times :3
Seriousely the graphics are good, the music also, but the humor is really here, as for the gameplay

I totally get what you were going for here with the warioware type thing, and I think you did it pretty well with one big difference. Warioware games are very quick and you only need to be told one word ("JUMP!" or "CATCH!" or something like that) whereas for these minigames you're given a whole wall of text and control and you don't have enough time to read it before you're suddenly in the game with no idea what you're doing. I think keeping the games a bit more simple could have helped, but it is still very fun. Good stuff!

I like the concept and the style was pretty hilarious, but the controls in a few of the minigames were really sluggish or had way too much momentum behind them

I enjoyed this one more than I'd like to admit. Once I had the hang of all the minigames I shot for a high score. I really like the way all the minigames get harder the more you win. My critique is I didn't have time to read all the description text the first time on each game, which was mainly a problem when I had to move my hand to/from the mouse. Once I'd played each a couple times though I had a great time.

I like very much the idea to play minis games in the game, the fire is funny, graphics cool but not a lot of mini games, a bit of pity, but well play !

At first, it was very stressful, because I had to read the descriptions fast, but after understanding the mini games, they were fun, even a little bit too easy. Great game!
