Crack Space by HJP
A spaceship game, like the good ol' classics, but with a differential in its gameplay, we chose the two buttons control theme because we thought that with it we could bring a new way of gaming. And that's what we tried to do, we had a rough path, which made us have to take away some parts of audio and story, but we finished it and we hope you like it.
And please give us your feedback this is the most important part for us.

First Impression:
- Parts of it were in a different language (I assume Spanish?) and that really confused me. I feel like I missed part of what I'm supposed to know about the game, either story or extra information.
- There wasn't nearly enough time for me to read the instructions and get myself ready to play. I think you should have displayed instructions on a separate screen where I could click to confirm (like the screen with all that text) so I wouldn't need to restart repeatedly to read it all.
Second Play-through:
- I realized that there was a language option at the bottom. I feel kind of silly for missing it, but I'm not sure why I needed to select English given that the main menu is IN English. You'd think the rest of the game would be English too and only change to Portuguese if I selected that language choice.
- I think there's a bug with the asteroid as getting hit by it destroys two of my ships instead of just one, unless that's intentional?
- The graphics don't mesh very well. The ships match in style, but the asteroid and the upgrade box don't. Also the instruction text doesn't match the font of the rest of the game. I understand it's a Ludum Dare so getting quality graphics is difficult, but making the graphics fit the same style is actually more important than individual graphical quality.
- The above aside, I thought the control system was fairly innovative and completely in line with the Two Button Controls theme. I also found the gameplay itself relatively fun. Good variety of threats. While I raged a bit at the asteroids, they added a good challenge.
Overall, a decent game. Well done, and I hope you learned as much from the Ludum Dare as I did. :)
For these reasons I give an average / below average score, a good effort, plenty to build on!
