Yet Another Cat In A Pyramid for Ludum Dare 36
This is my first 3D Ludum Dare entry, so my scope was a little larger than what I could deliver in the time I had.
Yet Another Cat In A Pyramid is a 3D puzzle adventure based around the concept of ancient Egyptian traps.
There is one complete puzzle in this build, but hopefully you'll enjoy the experience anyway.
Oh and sorry for the lack of sound! GlHf.
HOW TO PLAY
-----------
Just run yacip-ld36.exe and away you go.
CONTROLS
--------
W, A, S, D: Move
Q and E: Rotate the camera clockwise or anti-clockwise
F: Use
Enter: Begin (Title card only)
Escape: Quit
KNOWN BUGS
----------
* If you die in the spike pit below the puzzle, you will respawn at the start of the puzzle but the puzzle will not reset. The puzzle only resets when you are killed by an axe. To reset the puzzle, just die by stepping on an Ankh block.
* There is a collision bug at a secret exit in the large chamber. So if you suddenly are on top of the walls, that would be why.

You did make clarity exceedingly well though, there wasn't a moment I died where I thought I died without any real warning, and the puzzle was clear enough to understand. Clarity is often something people struggle with in puzzle games and games with traps, but you got it down in this game.
Keep up the good work!
But 3D graphic looks pretty sweet.
Any errors? What graphics card are you using if you don't mind my asking? Min spec would be anything supporting OpenGL 3.3 (roughly equiv. Direct3D 10.)
Also, I encountered a weird bug (after dying, maybe?) that made my character keep going forward as if I kept pressing W button. I tried various stuff to unlock the character, but nothing worked, so I just held S when I wanted the character to stop, and moved camera when I wanted to change the direction. Pretty inconvenient, still. ^^'
I must say, though, the visuals look quite great. If you hadn't said that, I'd never have guessed it's your first 3D project. ^^
well done with the 3D work a lot to do in a short time, good job.
Also 3D is tough so well done!
