Abu by TheRunawayRagdoll

[raw]
made by TheRunawayRagdoll for Ludum Dare 46 (JAM)

We tried a take on manipulating NPCs to navigate a puzzle. We started off with a cute 2D version of "Resident Evil" concept, but ended up turning into a puzzle platformer.

This is our first Jam and it was the most fun we've ever had! We look forward to lots of inputs and will update the game more once the rating is done.

Cheers! - Chaotic Momos.

Unfortunately, the game does not play. I believe that the issue is that not everything that is created when you do a Unity build is included here-- there should be a folder called "Abu_Data". You should re-upload! I would like to try the game.

Hi @microchasm Thank you so much for pointing this out. I believe in my sleep deprived state i didn't wrap the data folder. I aplogise for that but it should be there now!

Hello! Got "Failed to load mono" error on start. It was because "MonoBleedingEdge" folder was missing. Copied it from another your game on itch.io - Fumble.

What about Abu game:
1. Nice palette.
2. Sounds would make game more fun.
3. Background and UI look blurry.
4. Nice physics but need polishing: sometimes you stand on air and block-monsters never really press buttons.
5. Good scrolling effect that divides levels on logical parts.
6. Buttons in "Esc" menu don't respond.
7. Buttons in main menu are very small in 4k resolution.
8. It is hard to get final capsule due to little space between block-monsters and platform: you move monsters away from buttons trying to reach capsule.
9. You cannot quit the game after finish using "Esc" button.
10. Sometimes first shy-monster in second level falls down and never pushes the button.

Some tips and conclusions:
1. Try to download your game and run it after upload.
2. Rate and comment other games to receive more ratings.
3. Sleep is important.

Try and gain experience. And be happy!
