Welcome to Stuck in the Routine!

A LD47 game based on the theme Stuck in a loop.

Will you be able to overcome your routine?

This game is a kind of visual novel and Point&Click. You play has Jon, a office worker who is bored of his miserable life. One day, his life starts to change when a new coworker appears in the office.

How to play? - The game is made of some dialogs (use mouse click to continue) - And some kind of minigames, where you have to do some office work, you only have to click on things that will become bigger. (Yeah, we know this game is so simple, but we run out of time) The game is sooooo buggy, but this is LD and we didn't have enough time. Report any bug and I will try to make a PostLD build a little bit fixed.

Controls: - Simple, you only have to use the mouse.

Team: - UberElectron (It's me!) -> Main programer. - Alex11111 -> Music and Sound Desing. - AdrihLOL -> Background and vectorial desing. - Nokuga -> Character desing. - Depresed_zoomer -> Story. - KbroXino -> Moral support.

Update 6/10/20

  • Added WebGL version.

Post-LD version almost necesary. There are a lot of bugs, but it's playable.

We hope you, at least, you like it.

the game is playable in its current state but would probably be better with a few bugfix,
the biggest issue i think is the checklist being broken and interactable items appearing during dialogues, the coffee machine apeared at the bar and i made coffee during the dialogue kind of stuff.
best of luck and good work.

Nice point and click game! The art looks good and the fact that you put dialogues makes it interesting. I would like to see some "drag and drops" instead of just point and clicking. In general, it's a cool way to fit into the theme since you really learn the process, because of it's repeatability. Unfortunately, this feature makes the game kinda boring after a while, but it's okay. Overall, good try!

@solmir2000 Thanks for playing it and for your review! We are going to fix most bugs ASAP, but we have a lot of stuff to do IRL. For this LD we tried something new, we had never done a game like this before. It was a new challenge and we did our best.

@nectanebo This time we go for a more story driven game. We really wanted to add drag and drop interactions and more complex "minigames", but this is LD and we run out of time.
Thanks for playing the game and for you review!

@nectanebo thanks a lot! This was my first project working on drawing something really fast, glad you liked it!

I liked the music and aesthetics. There are definitely some bugs and quirks to be figured out, but it is playable at this state (thanks for the webgl version). I believe that the main thing that it lacks is a better feedback when clicking, I never new if I needed to click on something else on the coffee machine or if I just had to wait for it to disappear for example.

@vcasadei Thanks for playing it and for your feedback!
We will fix some bugs ASAP. At least, we were able to publish a playable game on time. There are a lot of things we wanted to do better, but we did our best.
