Tower Doffense by blint6

[raw]
made by blint6 for Ludum Dare 46 (COMPO)

This time, the towers don't want your boat to reach the destination. Wreck the towers and keep it alive!

I obviously wished more stuff would be polished, and more levels added but game jam it is! The game explains itself and is playable in the browser. I would love having your feedback ♥️ Enjoy!

Thats a really neat game! I love being able to get out of the boat to smash stuff! I was a bit confused in the beginning but it tied into really learning the game.

It gets kinda hard and button-mashy but I like the concept and cute character animation.

Thanks for the feedback! Having some mashing is a trick to feel the "keep it alive" vibe but it's not necessary in order to reach the ending of the game. I could have made this clearer!

Pretty good game! It feels like you turned the TD genre on it's head and made something pretty compelling. Good work!

I liked it more than I should that to repair your ship you just mash a button as fast as you can. The jump back to ship animation was cool and very anime. You don't always find a good tutorial in jam games, but you did a good job introducing the mechanics.

I absolutely love the idea, and the simple graphics fit perfectly. My only real complaint is that being out of the boat is almost all the time better than being inside it, maybe going around on feet should have had more downsides. Other than this, I found a small bug for which if you keep attacking you can traverse the rivers without jumping. Excellent job!

Thank you all so much for the feedback!

@sanjuro I designed levels in a way that you have to keep repairing the boat while always smashing more towers, so you're just very good! Other people found the game too hard so these are valuable feedbacks :)

Loved being able to get out of the boat, it made for some interesting dual gameplay. I was also a bit confused at the beginning but I figured out what to do pretty fast. Overall a nice little game!

This has a really neat TD twist. I like it ^^
Would be nice with a little less button mashing but the concept is really solid =D
