Looper's Arena by Jason200101

[raw]
made by Jason200101 for Ludum Dare 47 (JAM)

A simple game about fighting guys, with some lighting management involved. Use your two spells to annihilate enemies, and choose from five different upgrades at the end of each wave. Careful, for if you go past the speed of light, the loop may start again.

This idea was inspired from real world time travel, having to go faster than light to actually travel backwards, at least in theory. Adding a light mechanic was used to make that idea more impactful.

Break your high score, and enjoy the game!

I really like the style and the look of this! But I think you might explain your game better. Like I couldn't figure out how the time mechanic is supposed to work. Also a little timeframe between the round end and the selection of the next pick up might be helpful, as the player might click on them accidently, while still shooting.

I've already added that fail safe actually because it was driving me nuts while play testing. For you to select an upgrade you need to both click AND release the left mouse button on it, otherwise it does nothing. So accidentally selecting an upgrade after a wave clear is impossible.
Now for the tutorial part, yea, it needs WAY more work. But this was just intended to be a small jam for me, where I don't give it my all. Just make a game and relax. I even took a day off. It could
improve, but I just didn't bother. I'll try to put some more work on the tutorial section next time!
