Note: The HTML version runs like trash, I'm going to put up a downloadable version of the game once its built, and after that the current version's source code.

Made for LD47, originally for the compo but ran out of time. I still liked the project, so I finished something playable for the jam instead.

Didn't have time to put in a tutorial, so here are the controls: Press Up Arrow to go forwards.

Press Right Arrow to turn right.

Press Left Arrow to turn left.

Press Z to shoot.

You get 3 lives, and the goal is to last as long as possible. Every lap you finish you get some extra time and some points.

Killing enemies also gets you points, although you can only shoot straight forwards.

Mine: 100 points times your lap count.

Shooter Tower: 200 points times your lap count.

Plus Shooter Tower: 400 points times you lap count.

You get extra lives at lap 3, 5, 8, 10, and every 5 laps after 10. But eventually more and more enemies start to spawn, and different kinds of enemies start to spawn later.

If you run out of lives or time, you lose, but try to shoot for a really high score.

After the unplayable mess that was my first LD compo, I tried to tone things down and focus on making a game that was playable and fun once you can learn it, and in all of the time practicing by testing the game I've grown a bit attached to how the ship handles, and I'm tempted to finish this project up to the state I wanted it to appear after jam. But for now, there are a few things missing that I just didn't have time for:

The game would kill me without any (noticable?) reason all the time. :( The controls are extremely tricky, the ship was almost undrivable without stopping all the time. Anyways, nice idea!

Always down for a fun little racing game. I agree with the issues mentioned above^^
I will add that I felt like respawning could be a bit more seemless.

Respawning was a bit weird. wasn't sure what was going on.

Hi all right, I liked the game and I would like to make some observations to improve its quality, 1- when hitting it takes a long time to restart it would have to be more dynamic, 2- the car is very fast forcing the player to stop completely to turn, 3- add sounds to the project shot, acceleration and impact, 3- make the track more attractive, black straight lines alone are not, congratulations again I hope I helped, a big hug.
