Soundmarine by Dustyroom
You are like a Soundmarine collecting sound buoys to build up music from silence. Keep picking these as they don't last. And don't bump anything else.
It's a sound driven game, so turning sound on is preferable.
Controls — arrows or WASD.

My main concern are that the Soundmarine is too close to the camera and that the ship can leave the visible area.
10/10 would want a desktop wallpaper of it without the purple targets in 4k please
how did you manage all this in a short period
amazing
Just a quick note, if you press space-bar on the windows build the ship disappears. Then I pressed is several more times, and could no longer control the camera and then it started to go faster... so not sure what is going on. Used for testing, and left it in by mistake?
Some issues, though:
- It seems possible to start without a visible submarine. No idea why or how, but it happened.
- Due to the lack of shading, reference plane, and shadows, it's rather hard to understand where things are in relation to you.
- Some of the purple... thingamajiggers can only be reached by going off-screen.
this art is just amazing .. the sound effects remind me of some modern indie games, amazing how you accomplished that in a weekend
the colors just feel very soothing
the submarine movement is also very satisfying to play with
I'm impressed about graphics, even if i had some shadows problems. Curious to understand how u shaders work
I guess if I have one criticism to give, the option to invert controls along the Y axis would be one? But the lack of them did not detract from the experience at all.
It looks and sounds gorgeous, one of the best I've played so far. Mechanics are simple, but they work well if we take this as some chill experience (I still kept trying to reach further to see how the world unfolded in front of me).
Loved this, congratulations!
Just a little thing, the submarine shouldn't be able to go completely out of the screen.
Gameplay wise it's kinda Rez meets Soundscape, Beatles Yellow Submarine style. Brilliant.
The navigation especially feels so good, just navigating trhough your game is a pleasure ...
Improvement ideas:
- camera follows a tiny bit the user because on the edge it can be a bit desorientatintg.
Congrats
My only sugestion is that would be great if the bomb doesn't kill the player, but just make the player lost some sounds.
Overall is a great game!
In some ways, it reminds me of Gris, if Gris didn't have any puzzles, nor any player verbs other than walk left and walk right. It feels like it could be expanded into something really great (like Gris as it _actually_ is), but as it stands it's a bit lacking. Which, I mean, that's to be expected, considering the constraints of the Jam.
