I liked the way the bird comes for the firefly
I was just expecting a little more from the ending, but the visual effect was great.
I don't to which greater power I sacrificed my friend.
The pixel art is slick and the music fits perfectly. At first I was a little confused by the throw indicators, I thought was chucking my jar everywhere, but I figured it out. The mechanics felt good, maybe differentiate the types of buttons a little more? I didn't know which ones were one hit and which ones were hold.
This is just feedback. As it is, the game is great! Really well done.
I found it weird that you had some platforming challenge, I found myself dying multiple time to a little hole. Indeed your character controller is slow and linear, perfect for puzzle and narrative mood.
Also I didn't understand the last puzzle, I think I got passed it by accident, and is it just me or is this the f word that is written on the pillars at the end ?
Keep it up dudes !
The only thing I didn't really like was the aiming. Maybe it was a bug, but you can't see the aiming square until you are actually throwing. So, you can't really aim.
Unfortunately it seems I'm the only one with this issue. However, I can't seem to see anything except the player character and the light? I couldn't progress but I really wish I could've played!
Besides that I liked the effects I could see, the player sprite, and the audio.
The gameplay was innovative and seeing you use keep the fireFLY alive was a good touch.
Great work!
While I did enjoy the gameplay a fair bit, I found most of the jumps pretty punishing in gap - I fell into the first hole easily five or six times, and while the reset time was quick enough that it wasn't too frustrating, I certainly feel as though the first few jumps in the game could do to be a little shorter to make ease the player in! I also personally ended up not being able to complete the puzzle after the second checkpoint - while I felt like I had an idea of what I was supposed to do, I was struggling to either make the throw up and over the blocks above onto the button or maneouvre through the dark to get up to the second button without the firefly - this could just be an issue of how I was understanding the puzzle, but after about ten attempts, I couldn't get past this point. :(
That said, I still absolutely adore the look and feel of this game! It could have easily been presented to me as a game that had taken months in development, and I would have believed it on look and feel alone. You've done an excellent job! This type of atmospheric game also feels as though it could benefit from some brief interaction functions with the environment - I spent a fair bit at the beginning just trying to see if I could interact with the other person in the cave and see if they were sleeping or dead.
Overall, I love what you've done here, and I'm looking forward to seeing what you two make in the future! ~✧
Good art and sound.
Great job here!

1. Maybe have two different type of button art, one for buttons that require constant weight and the other for toggle. All the buttons looked the same so i didn't know which type they were.
2. Perhaps increase the visibility a litttttle bit? I had trouble seeing what was ahead of me, but i guess that was the general vibe. The last puzzle was tricky because i couldnt see both doors or buttons at the same time due to darkness.
Here's the VOD from my stream wher I played your LD46 Entry if you're interested:
