LoopChan is a curious bot

It constantly brake and gets stuck in a loop of movements

When this happens, we must take it for maintenance

There it is necessary to move the belt at the right time

so that it does not destroy itself

How to Play 🎮

• The bot is stuck, you can't control it

• Press space to move the belt

• Use the beats to guide you

A small decent game with a neat idea. However, it's not very obvious that you must press space in tact of music, and some sounds which indicating a certain action sounds not well, as they can be considered random ones.

Amazing! I really love your simplistic game design. Casual and still could be hard to remember. Truly a project worth of continuing. Also graphics were appealing. Good work!

Pretty good game but I feel like it'd be a bit better if the drums always played on the downbeat

This is a really cool concept. I only wish there was a way to see what was coming, other than going through a whole bunch of trial and error until you heard the song for each level a few times. Other than that this game is great. The ideas for the movements you had are awesome and the artstyle nicely compliments everything nicely.

Very cool concept! The artwork has a lot of personality. As a musician, the semi-arbitrary timings of the kick and snare made it hard to lock into the rhythm of each level and I found myself losing because the drums were in a different time signature or in a strange pattern. I think if it was telegraphed what the pattern was it would be easier to get in the groove. Also, the simple one button control scheme is very clever

Cool idea and fun game! Would have liked to see the beat concept more clearly defined. The jumps being automatic, and the moving being optional, but still tied to the music, did not really make sense to me. It felt kind of arbitrary as I was expecting everything to be tied to the beat in the same way.

i liked the game a lot, it had the right balance of challenge and ease. Maybe one thing it was missing was a visualizer for the loop, i know the idea was to remember the loop cycle but it would helpful for timing to visualize it

I enjoyed playing this a lot! The graphics are great and the music is quite fun. I found some of the snare hits not very intuitive which made the game more difficult which could be positive or negative however you intended. I enjoyed the introduction of the different elements of the level design and thought that was really well done.

this is a fun puzzle game with cool mechanics. my only criticism would be that i wish there was some kind of indicator of when there was about to be a snare/cymbal/etcetera. overall i still really liked the game and concept, good work!

very cute!! the art and sounds were great from the start, but lying-down LoopChan really sold it to me. this might be the first time I've really appreciated a LD game character -- make it a full blown game so you can make merch for her! ^_~

I had a lot of fun with it, the gameplay idea is super neat and fits really well with the theme. one small criticism is that the conveyor belt could feel more very conveyor-y (graphics and maybe sfx wise), because that's kind of important for the theme :P

it also took me until around level 8 or 9 until I realized that you can move the conveyor any time during the beat (not just at the start of the beat), which makes all of the segments where you only have one obstacle at a time (which is a lot of them) kinda trivial.

I found the later levels started getting kind of boring; it seems like the difficulty came just from the introduction of more movements and the fact you have to memorize longer, more complicated loops. I think by that point it loses it's musicality, and becomes more tedious than fun. it's no longer "oh hey, this is a funky time signature and the rhythm goes SHSHSSH!", it's just "okay, I know I need AB. there's an AB after a C, and there are two Cs in between the AB, so I have to count two Cs after I see an AB, then go".

I think I would've preferred a slower introduction of more different moves, and more of a consistent rhythm based on the fundamental moves. the difficulty could be ramped up in other ways, like a faster tempo, longer sequences of moves you have to match, etc. maybe even some form of time pressure, although I guess that's not the style you guys like, and it'd add more mechanical baggage to the game.

either way, this is a great entry! ^__^ solid overall, and particular props for the very cute character and having a super tight interpretation of "stuck in a loop" that actually makes for fun gameplay

I really liked this game! As I said on my stream, my only complaint is that the beats get pretty long and there's sometimes a lot of waiting for the right moment. But getting to the end of the levels was pretty satisfying. Great job on this!

Really cool! I don't think I've played a rhythm/platformer game quite like this. Graphics are superb, and audio perfectly matches it. Controls were a bit wonky for me, and I couldn't grasp the beat loops in a lot of levels. But when the controls worked and the loop was short and solid, it was a great experience. Thanks!

Really nice game!

The art is incredible :robot:
The mechanic is simple, original, and the puzzles are well designed.

I had a bit of trouble understanding when I could move forward or not.
Sometimes, the music loop seems to not offer enough memorable parts and is quite hard to remember.

Thanks for the game I had fun 💕

The art is simple and soooo cute! The lil robot is just adorable <3
I love the idea of moving in rythm and learning patterns: it's simple to understand, it's fun and it makes you want to retry when you messed up!
The progressive difficulty and complexity of the rythm is very well done too. Balancing is almost perfect from what I've seen (didn't do all the levels). I also love the fact that you can see how many levels there are in total, gives you incentive to go further!
Very well done, it's a simple yet very polished and fun game!

Nice game. Rhythm/puzzle isn't a combination I expected. I found the timing of the rhythm aspect was a bit sensitive; it might just be that my computer was busy and interfering with input timing but the effect was pretty frustrating in that I couldn't always control things like I wanted to. I don't know if making the input timing less sensitive on the game end would work to compensate.

I think the earlier levels were timed such that it was exactly one input per beat which actually misled me into thinking that was always going to be the case and made me struggle with later levels where I had to skip some beats. It might be possible to design some of the earlier levels in a way that helps the player develop the correct expectations right away.

I had exact same problem with 'beat-to-gameplay-rythm' as @marcmagus. I thought that I should be very tight with my movement to the nice and soft beat and should always push forward in the beat rythm, but eventually had to stop moveing to understand that it's the player moving to the 'beat' rather than my controls should.

I love the visual/audio execution which is spot-on for this game. I found the overall mood to be happy and didn't care much about destroying myself few times on the boxes :)

Job well done guys!

ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAR EULEEEEEEEEEEEEER. MAKING ME MEMORISE 14 DIGITS

this game would've benefitted from like.. a top bar at the top that shows you what actions are coming up along with like the bars and beats or something or the time signature. That would've made it from an annoying rage game to a fair game that's pretty cool. At the end I was essentially just counting like a child, there was no way to memorise 14 beats.

Good job anyway, it was fun. Your games are getting better every time.

Overall - a really fun game. I enjoyed and beat all but the last 2 levels. The graphics are really cute. The gameplay is interesting and inovative. I honestly haven't seen something similar here. On occasions it seem to let me pass at a wrong time (e.g. jumped at an overhead block but didn't kill me). And the 14th level contained too much waiting for my taste. I understand that this is done, so I can see the sequence before going, so maybe it is just me. But anyway - great game!

This was a fun spin on rhythm games + platformer games. Reminds me of when I was in first grade and played Mario Teaches Typing, which was not a platformer but you would type letters and do the platformer things if you typed the right letter. So as far as rhythm games go - this was not satisfying to match the rhythm for each beat because I didn't know when to hit the space bar. It was satisfying to learn the "song" of each level, and figuring out how to beat the current challenge. The characters and art was unique, cute, funny, and very clearly telegraphed what I needed to do (except for the spacebar timing). The amount of levels, and the difficulty curve felt perfect. You really taught me how to play in the first few levels, and got me into doing the complicated stuff of the last levels in a way that flowed well. I was always challenged, and interested.

The music felt a bit repetitive, which is a bit of a surprise for a rhythm game. Maybe you should have played a bit more with the bass, and varied the chords a bit for different levels. Or muting some instruments some times, to make a longer loop that doesn't drill into your brain as consistently. Regardless of that, it was actually a cute and memorable song, and I enjoyed the game very much. Thank you for the game :)

I liked the challenging level design which really tested my skills. I also found the game's graphics and audio to be very polished and elegant.
