tyle by jordantanner

### Y not chill out and crush some tyles? Keep your STREAK ALIVE as long as you can!

Update: The Post-Jam version is now available HERE!
HOW TO PLAY:
As your mouse cursor spins around, click on a tile when the cursor is white. If you click too early or too late, you won't do enough damage and you'll have to wait until the cursor goes around again. You can only click ONCE per rotation, so be careful!
Please Note: This is not a rhythm game. The tempo of the mouse cursor is not synced with the music!
Build up your streak-meter and keep it alive by continuously destroying tiles.
Break your streak 3 times and it's Game Over.

Green tiles are worth (1 x Level) points.
Pink tiles make your streak meter drain faster but are worth (3 x Level) points.
Your best score will always be displayed on the built-in leaderboard!

BUG FIXES: After getting some sleep (finally), I managed to resolve some bugs:
Leaderboard:
- Fixed a major bug that was preventing the user's data from uploading to the server, and also from populating the leaderboard list correctly
Game Flow:
- Fixed a major bug that sometimes prevented the game from resetting properly after a playthrough
I hope you'll consider playing/rating the bugfixed version, but if you want the original upload, it's there as well! Thanks so much for any feedback!

This would be a great little mobile game.
Still waiting for at least WebGL version though :) (or macos ;) )

I don't know if it was me, but sometimes I had a miss when clicking with certainly white cursor and that was quite frustrating...
I can totally see it as the new hypercasual trending game ! I don't have much to say about it as it felt like a finished game with a simple mechanic really well executed :)
Always nice to see game with leaderboards (you can actually remove my entry, that's not my real highscore, just wanted to see how yours work haha (nevermind I got it, can do it myself haha :v: ))
Good job !
It's very visually appealing and though I'm not sure I'd call it relaxing haha. At the very least the music is though! It's definitely fun though!
My only gripe with the game is the cursor spin. Like other's have mentioned, I feel like I'm pressing exactly when it's fully white but it's registered as a miss. Now I get that my motion to click was probably not instantaneous, but I think such games tend to have a window of forgiveness during the "perfect rhythm" moment. Especially if you'd like it to be more relax than frustrating. It was sort of a double feel bad as I felt like I did press at the right time AND in addition I couldn't press again for the new cycle and initially didn't realize why.
I also didn't really feel a difference between the pink and green tiles. My first instinct was that maybe the pink ones would need to be double clicked, but until I read what they actually did, I didn't feel any sort of difference between them and green tiles.
Last thing, the music, although pretty fitting, doesn't really have a beat, so it's hard to get into a rhythm of clicking. I think it'd be much more enjoyable if the song had a clearer beat and was less ambient.
Overall, I had a good amount of fun playing this one, and I really love that minimalist style, well done!
Still, a rather nice experience. Good going!
Correct me if i'm wrong but your source link isn't actually the source code. It's just the windows unity build? Ludum dare rules do say for Compo you MUST include source code
There seem to be 2 overlapping cubes in the floor (graphics).
I have no wifi on my PC so here's my high;)

Once you get in synch with the cursor it's very satisfying to crush the tiles
The audio and sound design are nice (i really like the crushing tile sound) and overall everything in the game feels good

The only thing I think is missing is some kind of audio feedback when you miss or hit. Some sound effect
Other than that, great job!!
I liked the game, but I think some more gameplay mechanics would be good - the game is a bit too simple for my taste.
Also, as someone stated in the comments up there - some audio feedback for missing and hitting would be nice.
But overall really great job, I am amazed at how some LD games are so neatly polished and finished. Just wow.
