Amazing! I'm a sucker for both roguelikes and lofi pixel art aesthetics ❤
Core game loop really well executed.
Only one suggestion: would be really nice if you could control the game with the keyboard.

Is there a way to control it with keys?

Really well made game and fun! While I don't mind playing with mouse only, it would be nice if you coulld at least move and attack with the keyboard.

@kromeboy I couldn't figure out a way to move and attack and handle inventory on the keyboard. i'll work on it for the first post-jam update :)

I love the graphics, it feels very polished and cute, congrats :v:

I got to level 8 (with gold equipment I was basically invincible hehe :sunglasses:), but no signs of the princess… I hope she is fine.

I love it when people make roguelikes for LD! (I guess one day, I should too...) Nice art and smooth gameplay EXCEPT for the controls!

This is amazing! I love the visual 8x8 style. I think this game really stands out amongst the rest. It's not the best I've played thus far, but is certainly one of the more unique entries. My only real gripes are that I wish the volume could be tweaked as I found it loud at times, and I feel as though some more visual feedback is needed for certain enemies. I'm not sure which one it was as the art is fairly abstract, but one of the enemies would essentially teleport around my character randomly once I got close enough. Made it very difficult to manage while moving around other enemies.

Overall I really enjoyed this entry, and I think you made something really special here. Nice work!

I really love the graphic and the mood of this little dungeon crawler. It really cool, I feel like having a pocket adventure generator :p I'd like to see that on a mobile !
However I would like to see more of the theme in here (and sound volume where a bit too loud x) )
Cool game !

I like retro games like these. One suggestion I have is to change or remove the character movement sound — it can be grating after a while. Also, I wish it were possible to attack diagonally. Otherwise, you've done a very good job with both graphics and sound. Well done.

Beautiful game, really liked it. If playing with mouse, i'd prefer clicking on the map itself to both move and attack, because there is less chance of misclicking that way. Great job, hope to see this game in the future!

Amazing job for a solo guy, well rounded game. The combat system where creatures attack certain fields is interesting as well, though I'm not sure if you came up with that or is it standard for some games.

And I can't tell, are creatures procedurally generated or you just did a lot of sprites?

It would be way more enjoyable with keyboard controls.. WASD for attack, arrow key for movement and numpad for use inventory. I'd play much longer with keyboard controls as it is very fun and smooth game otherwise, this way it gets tiresome.

Link to my game is on my profile text, I didn't manage to submit in time, give it a spin sometime and give feedback if you feel like.

Really like roguelikes and this was fun! The way the UI has the game window, controls, inventory etc looks really polished, like a control panel. I agree with the other commenters that keyboard controls would be great, maybe move using WASD or arrows, and if there is an enemy in the way, attack instead? Had fun :)

Nice roguelike, and it's cool how you managed to represent everything in with so few pixels :)
