As resident pilot, it is your duty to help the three islands that sit beneath you. On these islands reside islanders who harvest carrots all day long, only to be disturbed by swarms of fly guys. Head into the sky to seek water from storm clouds, bring it back to the islands to restore their supply, and keep the flies at bay by waterlogging them with your water blaster. Don't forget to fuel up, and be careful out there!

Instructions

Keep the islands alive while maintaining your fuel. To keep the islands alive you must drop water off over top of them. Water can be gathered by flying through dark rain clouds up above(fuel and water storage is measured in the bottom left). At some points islands may come under siege from flies, you can take them down by shooting at them with a water blast. If you ever get lost you have a compass overhead that will point you in the direction of either the green, yellow, or pink islands. To refuel, stop at your home base and fly through the flags.

Well this is so lovely crafted and cute <3
I think i'm not good at flying or maybe it is designed more with a gamepad in mind or maybe both.

super cute and beautiful graphics! The steering was a bit difficult to manage but I still enjoying the experience of zooming around the map

Its fantastic, and very impressive for a jam. Flying in this world is inspiring and I like the little touches like when you get water from the clouds. Only some sound effects seem a bit out of place, but that's very minor

I really liked the cuteness of the game! I did very bad at flying though. My mind just won't accept the inverse y-axis if it was what I was having problems with. I got to save one island from drought though, but 10 bugs was just impossible to hit. I got three in total and that was almost all fuel and water for just the three. Well made world and it was fun flying, even if I was really terrible at it.

Wow, I love this so much!

The art style and the music combine together to give the most wonderful atmosphere, and the plane sounds are incredibly satisfying too. The effect of the air rushing past gives a great feeling of actually moving through the air, which is something I've found missing from some games that have flying in them. Without that it can be difficult to tell how fast you're moving, and you nailed it!

It would be great if the plane reacted a bit more to not being upright, so perhaps turned a bit when tilted sideways. For me, the game that got the feeling of aerodynamics really right was Pilotwings on the N64, and I think if your plane felt a bit more like that it'd feel even more amazing to fly around.

Had a really nice time just flying around, collecting water and listening to the music. Nice relaxing experience to wind down after three days of working too hard  thanks so much for making this!

This is so very lovely! Congratulations for making such a nice little world to fly around in. The art style is inspiring, and flying is always a nice way to move.

I struggled with the flying controls, and found myself getting lost quite a bit. Also, I know you put the controls in the description above, but I totally missed that and didn't know what to do with myself for a couple of minutes. A 'how to' screen, or instructions popping up in your awesome UI style would go a long way.

Super well done!

It looks wonderful, any chance you can get a mac or web version uploaded?

Wow this is gorgeous! This is professional quality stuff, it looks incredible, among the best looking games I've played in the jam for sure, and it plays very well to boot! The music is cute, the sounds are too, and the atmosphere is very relaxing! It's a little hard to hit the flies, but still fun!

This game was full of bugs!
Luckily I shot a bunch of them :sunglasses:

In all seriousness, this game is AMAZING. I can't get enough of this artstyle, and despite the action in the game, flying over this beautiful environment was just SO relaxing. The music was probably the best I've seen in a jam game, ever, it could be a proper score in a full-length game. Can't think of anything else to praise you for, this game is an easy 5 all-around! Amazing job!!!

Pretty game! I really like the graphics and music. Very cute. I will say that it felt a little unnecessary having the world that big, as it made going from island to island take a long time. Also, I wish shooting felt a little juicier. Other than that, great work!

Finally got to play it. Flying around, the art, and music is awesome. I think it's too sensitive on the keyboard but I liked it on the controller. I couldn't tell if I was hitting the flies or not.

The game looks and sounds great. I got lost in the ocean quite often, making it tough to get back.

Looks pretty and plays awesome. Would be great having an explanation of how to control things and what to do inside the game. Besides that the mechanics are fun, and the game controls great!

as a lover of puns and word play in titles, naturally I had to play "hare fare" lol. This was super adorable, love the art and cel shading + good 2d graphics. Graphics and Audio were excellent, very well polished - with one exception... everything is so amazing and designed and then some of the sounds are very generic out of the box sound fx which is super jarring in comparison to the level of the rest of the game. The flying mechanic is smooth, really nice. I was able to fly up out of the world without being stopped until the globe disappeared lol. All around, great atmosphere you created with excellent artwork and music!

WOW, such a beautiful and cute game, I LOVE IT. It is quite hard to navigate through but still really enjoyable. Amazing work <3

Nice graphics, but bad controls (on a keyboard at least). I would like to control the rotation around the vertical axis with AD (rudder) instead of the rotation of the plane around its axis. ATM it's just way too difficult. Regarding the game mechanics, I didn't get feedback if I was dropping the water correctly and I didn't know how to refill the water tank. Also, the sound didn't work (I'm on Windows 64 bits).

This is a beautiful game. I had a very hard time getting used to the controls but I really wanted to get good at it because flying around the cute little islands and helping the inhabitants felt so good.

The mood here is absolutely perfect! The graphics and music are amazing and i love how idyllic it feels to fly around to these islands. I'd love to see this world explored more. My only complaint is that the flying controls were a bit tricky, but once you get used to it, it feels really fun! Great job team!

Lovely game from the art style to the mood generated by the music.
Controls felt kinda weird at first, but I got used to them rather quickly.
Really wanted to keep playing but, sadly, I got motion sick.
Overall pretty fantastic game!

I really enjoyed playing your game. It feels very lighthearted, and I had a blast flying around. The UI was very simple, yet it gave me the right information to be able to play the game. And also, a bunny flying a plane?! Hell yes!

As for what could get improved, the controls were a bit hard to handle and it really cost me to get used to them. I also think there's too much blur when you turn the plane. It almost made me dizzy sometimes. Also, it's reeeeeally hard to hit the bugs, and I could see there was an auto aim but I would fire and sometimes it wouldn't work.

Overall, amazing work. I've been following you on itch since I played Soulward on the GMTK jam, and I can tell you guys put a lot of love into your games :). I would really love if you could take a moment to play our game and let me know what you think!

Really nice! Such a gorgeous, juicy world to fly around. Feel as though I'm in a Ghibli film :) As others have said the controls are abit tedious. Maybe this is how a real plane flies, but I think with a game this lighthearted I think when the player tilts the analogue stick right the plane should just go right :) I had a hard time trying to remember which way I needed to move the stick in order to just turn the plane, ended up in the water most of the time

Veeeery beautiful game, but I had hardtime to deal with the controls.
It's really hard to turn right and left. so if I may suggest: I think a plane is turning a bit as soon as it rolls. I may be to used to this behaviour, so playing Hare Fare was a bit frustrating, especially with such lovely designs and so much things to do with all these islands : )
And I would give money to have an auto-aim to shot those bugs. Kill, kill!!!
Thanks for the experience ^^

Such a gorgeous looking game, loved flying around and just exploring the islands. I wasn't very good at shooting but flying was so much fun that I just kept doing that and watering the islands. Do wish the controls were a bit easier but besides that really enjoyed this, the designs were lovely.

WOW this entry makes my heart sing- Incredible presentation, charming atmosphere, great fun to fly around and get lost in it all. Really appreciated the addition of the compass at top of screen cause I sometimes get lost in these sorts of things, anyway-absolutely smashing game <3

The graphics were nice and cute. The audio was serene to say the least. All the models gave off a cartoony and fun vibe. Flying through the sky listening to the music was damn nice. Combat was a little hard though, most probably cus I was using keyboard controls. The mechanics of getting water from clouds and using it for the islands was nice. Maybe for the sake of making resource management better, you could improve the targetting while shooting along with the controls for PC. Still, this game is a keeper for me. Good job man :)

OMG, this is amazing! I am delighted with the atmosphere that you have managed to embody in your game. This is thanks to an incredible combination of gameplay, graphics and music. I am not only happy to see such a project on LD46, which is amazing in its uniqueness and originality, but also grateful to you for the fact that I was able to play it. Thank you! But as for the comments, I will say that it is very inconvenient to fly the plane. This is due to the fact that you do not have rotation around the Y-axis (yaw). I think that if you implemented it, it would increase fun. Second, this is a u-turn. It would be cool if you press one key to turn the plane on autopilot 180 degrees. But I understand very well that it would be difficult to implement in 72 hours, but still you can continue to work on your concept, because it is BEAUTIFUL! P.S. How did you manage to implement the feeling that the surface is round? I would be very happy if you answered :)

I had hard time with the plane's control. But the game is so cute and chill, i love the art. But really the plane's control are not intuitive and quite rigid, plus the dropping of water and shooting where it's hard to see what we do.The rest of the game is quite nice, it was a good idea, and a pretty good job overall.

Love the art, as usual. The game feels really good for a jam game.
The only thing was that I really missed a yaw control. I think that would have made it a lot easier to control
